It is a little off the beaten path, but well worth staying for a while to enjoy some good music and some food and a drink. The "town" is a popular gathering spot for many different groups. The General Store offers wide variety of souvenir T-Shirts and Hats, along with a number of non-souvenir items. One of the more desirable novelties to have your photo taken under the famous Luckenbach, Texas "U.S. Post-Office" sign above the front porch of the General Store. They sell Postal Cards and will stamp it if you would like with the Ol'postal stamp of Luckenbach, TX. If you find your low on cash. Not to worry, because they have an ATM. You can't miss it. There is a nice dance hall where concerts are performed. This little place gets a lot of good singers to perform here.

Funny, funky, touristy spot but well worth a quick stop just to say we've been there. Barely outside of Fredericksburg, so no need for a long detour.

It is just relaxing to get to sit outside and drink a beer and take in some great music. It's fun to step back into a simpler time and just relax. Luckenbach is a place you have to stop if you are near by. Don't count on running into Willie Nelson, but you just never know.

We have been to Fredericksburg a number of times, but I never knew we were within 10 miles of Luckenbach! Always wanted to go and did. Had a great time. Great place to spend an evening and see a concert. I'll go back!!!

Several years ago, we stopped by and heard this wonderful singer in the bar. It was Jimmy Lee Jones playing and singing "The Last Comanche Moon"-just a terrific story in a song. He only has one cd so far but is planning to release another, soon, we hope. We stopped by recently on a Sunday morning, and he was there, again playing for tips and taking requests. He obliged with Comanche Moon, - His voice is still true and strong even after a stroke. It's fun just to sit around in the bar on benches, barrels, whatever and listen and "admire" all the kitsch on the walls. Some neat Texas souvenirs are available, and the whole atmosphere is fun. A relaxing place to stop if you like a country western atmosphere.
