I have been to this vineyard a few times and was looking forward to lunch here with a couple of friends. We arrived early around 11:15 am and instead of a greeting I was asked if I had a reservation. I said I did not. Scanning the room I saw only one party of three at a table. The woman coldly said they were often busy and she would seat us today but next time we need a reservation. Our excitement and smiles faded a little with her attitude. We ordered a glass of wine. The server poured one, started another glass with a large slash that emptied the bottle and continued the pour with a new bottle. This is a winery not behind the scene at some bar for goodness sakes. The person who was helping the server get the orders out to our table was not dressed well, too casual for the dining area, like he was working in a hot kitchen. Other guests arrived and our group over heard the same woman who was sour with us, discussing with the wait staff to ask if they had reservations and whether or not she wanted to seat them, negative conversation within ear shot. While we were lunching and even when we left, only a handful of tables were occupied. The food was good but inside felt unwelcoming. The vines and grounds were lovely but I am in no hurry to return.
