I went to Marfa on a yoga retreat with a small group of yogis from Austin. The organizers selected El Cosmico for our accommodations based on it's reviews and uniqueness. We all loved our experience there! I was in a Safari tent for three of the four nights and shared a tepee the other night. The staff were awesome, the office was clean and comfortable to just hang out in drinking coffee or reading a book, and the hammock area was wonderful for just lazing away. The main bathhouse was clean and well lit, even for late night trips. Keeping in mind that this is still a campground be prepared to hear people walking about at night; dealing with non-ideal sleeping temperatures depending on the time of year you go (they provided two extra heavy wool blankets for colder evenings); and ambient sounds of cows and trains while trying to doze off to sleep. El Cosmico was one of the many unique treasures we discovered on our journey to Marfa. What a great glamping experience!
