I stay here often and it is my favorite hotel in the Valley. The rooms are nice and all of the staff are wonderful. I travel to the Valley quite often sometimes for business and sometimes for pleasure and I wouldn't consider anywhere else. The hotel is beautiful and they have an on site restaurant that is outstanding. I especially like the balconies that overlook the courtyard pool where icons it outside and work. The gym is good with both machines and weights. The location is ideal for traveling around the area since it is close to the highway to both Brownsville and Edinburg.

Room Tip: I like the rooms with a balcony but they also have nice executive suited but they don't have bal...

This place has done it again; exceeded all expectations. With business comes travel and you have to start with the sales team; Ashley DeProw is absolutely awesome. always willing to make all your arrangements and always follows up with you and checks in with during your stay. To better enhance your stay, parties, banquets or even a get together you have to contact Diana Cavada; she will make it happen. what an awesome person she is too. will stay till the very end to make sure your event is the best it can be. but, if you just want to hang around the bar, visit Danny and Jeff. they are great. They all treat you like family and willing to help. what a Fantastic place to visit and stay and what a Fantastic Team.

the only one negative thing I have for the management here is to put one of their number one items back on the menu; bone-in-rib eye. I still can not believe they took off the menu.

The interior is very nice with a great bar in the lobby over looking the courtyard pool that is very pretty. It was clean and did not smell. The rooms were great and the staff were wonderful. I will go back.

Room Tip: It was nice and quite.

We were there for a summer weekend. Rooms were nice and reasonably priced for our stay, internet was okay, other amenities available, not included and a little expensive as you would expect. Very nice facility, looks great for meetings or special occasions like weddings. Liked the patio, as we were there on a summer weekend, the kids in the pool made it a bit noisy. Staff were nice and professional but not helpful with room info. (couldn't find Marriott reward number, didn't know how much movies were in the room or how to access that information, etc. ) No sparkling wine in lobby bar, just mixed drinks. Ask for the second floor for reduced noise and most convenient to parking garage.

Room Tip: Ask for second floor, most convenient to parking garage, but NOT near ice machine/vending.

What an unexpected pleasure to stay at this hotel. Staff have all been amazing: courteous and friendly and most efficient. The rooms are charming; mine had a balcony overlooking the pool courtyard. The balcony was large as was the room and flawless. The one snag: the hotel restaurant - not as good as it could have been: bland, boring offerings, with a long wait time.
The hotel shuttle takes you wherever you need with a courteous driver and warm smiles abound.

Room Tip: Ask for a courtyard view room

The Renaissance Casa de Palmas was a surprise for me - the price was so incredibly reasonable that I wasn't prepared for the charming location and the lovely decor. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant and it was delicious. The bed was very comfortable and I wish I had more time there to enjoy my patio that doors that opened to the pool.
