“Attractive location, good for birding”
Reviewed 13 January 2012

This fairly small reserve has many feeders attractive to birds and was very pleasant to walk around. The person at the desk was knowledgable abut where we could find a rare bird we were seeking, the tropical parula, which we did find. There are some signs describing the local trees and plants along the trails. It is a very relaxing and rather beautiful site, very close to the airport at McAllen.

“pleasant place to go birding”
Reviewed 4 January 2012

The grounds are well kept and this is a nice place to go birding without traveling to a park or more rural area. I didn't go inside any of the buildings so can't comment on them.
