Really disappointed with this hotel. Not a single member of staff spoke any English at all (which usually isn't a problem) but they didn't really have any common sense either. So not even sign language and basic Spanish got a message across. We gave up asking for anything pretty quick smart. Our room was off the breakfast room (forget about sleep ins) and wasn't particularly clean. The sheets were pretty tired. Friends who booked one night before we arrived (We'd booked EIGHT WEEKS before) were given a quiet upstairs room with a magnificent view. One afternoon, while walking through the hotel, the staff were sitting around in the main hall talking to a bunch of people who clearly weren't employed by the hotel. One of those guys stopped us and started asking us if we wanted to do a tour with him, go shopping, whatever. The staff just stood there. I don't expect to be hassled IN MY HOTEL by people trying to make money out of me. I was flabbergasted. Overall a really disappointing experience and definitely wouldn't stay there again.

Great small kitschy hotel (3 levels with only a few rooms on each) which I cannot find major fault at all! Our room was spacious, clean, had reliable wifi access, minibar included as well. Aircon was a godsend, especially after our Tikal trek!
Although we didn't get a lakeside view, there is a nice balcony that you can catch the sunset on.
Staff spoke very minimal English so unless you're relatively fluent in Spanish, get your phrasebook out. Was not a problem for us though as we ore booked tours and taxi with our English speaking agent. Everything is easily walkable in Flores & the only ATM on the island is only 3 mins walk away.

I've stay in this hotel for 2 nights which was very inexpensive comparing to the service, condition and location. I will definitely stay there again. Below are the Pro and Cons.

Pro:
1. Very clean room and bath room.
2. The decoration and housekeeping of this hotel was very considerate. For example. they fold the towers with a baby bear shape, very friendly.
3. Staff are friendly. Though they can speak less English and I cannot speak Spanish, they still gave me a lot of help via communication.
4. Located in the island of Flores, facing the lake.
5. Walking distance to several good restaurants and convenient shops.
6. Chearp price.

Con:
1. Staff can speak only a little English, but seems they can understand English.
2. No breakfast.

Highly recommended. It's a perfect base for Tikal tour.

I stayed at two places on the island and even though this was better than the first it is basic.
PROS: The beds are good, pillows aren't flat, clean, shower has pressure and hot water (not one of the electric), A.C. works, rooms have a fan and a mini fridge, TV, the WiFi is strong in the rooms, and some nice lake views.
CONS: The front desk is not very helpful with tours and that is with me speaking Spanish, so ask elsewhere. There also is no real hang out area, pool or bar like some of the other places. The look is dated and some of it looks a little shabby(cracks in ceiling, wavy floors, etc).
Overall though it was good, basic, and didn't have major problems.

Room Tip: Room 303 is top floor with awesome view but no elevator.

As the title says this hotel offer basic clean rooms, its location and view are good however the staff don't speak a word in english which can be realy troublesome if you need some advce regarding tours booking or to checkout at non regular hour.

We decided to be a little adventurous and drive from Cancun, Mexico to Tikal in Guatemala. A fantastic trip. After doing the border dance crossing from Mexico to Belize and then into Guatemala we were weary travelers. Finding Flores was easy. Navigating the tiny streets on Flores was another adventure but boy was it worth it. I'm almost afraid to review this hotel as I want to stay there again myself. Next time I will schedule an extra day just to explore Flores and the surrounding area.
This place was wonderful. The room was spotless and comfortable. The beds were welcomed after the long drive from Chetumal. We had a room with a shared patio right on the maracon overlooking Lake Peten. Absolutely stunning! We were thrilled with the location, the service of the staff, and the quality of the rooms. The price was very reasonable for the accomodations. We were lucky and found a parking place right in front of the hotel. We ventured out in the evening looking for a restaurant but never made it very far. We hit the jackpot right on the maracon, there was a street event going on right outside our hotel and we had some wonderful street food and across the street somebody had set up a grill and was grilling great meats. Flores has the feel of a small Med island with cobblestone streets and picturesque houses. We will return!
Even though the main street around the island was just outside below our room, if there was any noise from it we didn't notice. It didn't interrupt our sleep.
Even though it had been rather warm the room was very comfortable and a little breeze came with sundown.
I'll try and post some pics later.

Room Tip: Just request a room with a patio on the water. Most of them have a lake view.
