“Comfortable rooms, great pool area but rooms in dire need of refurbishment!”
Reviewed 31 August 2014

We stayed at this hotel for 1 week and had a very spacious bedroom plus living room/kitchen and a lovely balcony.
The bathroom is so outdated...The shower door consists of 3 parts (two hanging and the third on the floor :-) but you can reattach it to the other 2 if you like.
The bedroom is huge and the balcony is such a nice touch with a table and 2 chairs.
The kitchen is also outdated with the fridge not working properly (it would freeze everything, in the freezer and fridge parts although I did set it to a lower temperature in the fridge it didn't help) and there were about 3 plates, 1 pot and plenty of forks and spoons. The reception (LOVELY PEOPLE) told me to ask if we wanted more kitchen utensils so we did ask for another pot. The stove door doesn't close all the way but it did work when we used it.
The pool area is nice and spacious although it did get VERY crowded at the weekend. The hotel opens its doors to everyone (outside the hotel) who wants to use the pool so we avoided the crowd during the weekend. Weekdays are great as there aren't many people using the pool and lounge chairs. There is also a lifeguards so this is very reassuring.
The breakfast is nice but repetitive-the same each day. Omlette, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage; several jams as well as honey options, two types of toast, soft croissants, cereal, two types of cheeses, a few kinds of hams, fresh tomatoes and watermelon, apple/orange juice and water.

The reception is really lovely. They want to make you feel comfortable and will help you whenever you need them. Chapeau to them!

Room Tip: The pool front rooms are noisy as there is plenty of road traffic. Pay less and chose the other side...

We stayed here with our 2 teenage children and mum for 2 weeks. The apartment was amazing and very spacious and clean.we had 3 bedrooms one with en suite .2 bathrooms Kitchen dining area and a lounge with 2 sofas .The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of plates glasses and all cooking untensils .also a big fridge cooker toaster and kettle. We also had 4 balconies.the buffet breakfast always provided a good start to the day.
The pool area was always clean with ample shade and sun beds .great place to relax on the hot sunny days. All the staff were friendly and helpful in particular the manager Stratos who made us very welcome and has always made us feel at home.

Room Tip: Over looking pool

Great bargain at $459 for 4 nights via booking.com for a 5 person family apartment.

Great value for a family with young kids who want to balance morning visits to downtown Athens, afternoons at the Hotel's swimming pool and even evenings in Cape Soumion.

- Friendly and helpful staff.
- Good beds.
- Clean and comfortable
- Good food and breakfast buffet
- Sizeable main pool and baby pool
- Welcoming reception and public areas

Only downsides:

- stained carpets need a change! Overall this is a late 1970's building and needs refreshing..
- apartment had too little and worn out kitchenware
- this is located in a nice district of Athens called Glyfada and with convenient access to Athens downtown area ie Syntagma square via tramway line. After our third day we got a little tired of the long tram journey (50 min one way,  27 stops)

The Hotel has very friendly and helpful staff. The food is excellent. Our room was very spacious and very clean with a lovely balcony/sea view.
The Hotel is very well situated and very close to some lovely beaches.
The pool is very welcome on a sizzling hot day and poolside service comes as standard and is very much appreciated.
We would like to go back next year for a proper holiday as this was just a flying visit.
Well done to all at the Oasis Hotel you have lived up to your name (Oasis)

Room Tip: Go for the side away from overlooking the pool if you want a quieter night.

Location is fine, assuming you mean to be staying in Glyfada and not actually in Athens; it's close to the tram and to the beach. Service was okay; very friendly, but it took a long time for a suit to return from being pressed and one traveler in our group said she had a request for extra towels refused by housekeeping. The pool area is quite nice, with a separate smaller pool for kids. Rooms were nicely sized but showing their age; walls had cracks and furniture was not in great shape. The description on the hotel website of "Italian furniture and lavish fabrics" is absurd. The bed in this hotel was the single least comfortable I've ever had to sleep in. At least it's cheap.

On arrival, we were tired and somewhat grumpy. This coloured our initial view of this hotel, which was probably unfair. On our first night, I would have scored a 3 out of 5. But I am giving it 4 out of 5. The reason is because there is nothing wrong with this hotel. The rooms are large and spacious. The hotel staff are friendly, helpful and offer a smile and are keen to help. The place is clean and the rooms are cleaned well. The food is very nice, from breakfast, to lunch and dinner. The pool area is clean and spacious. The lobby is stylish and attractive. It is only a ten minute walk from Glyfada's restaurants and shops and it is on the bus route from the airport, and routes to Athens are easy and cheap. The prices in the hotel are relatively cheap also. There are two downsides to our stay here. Firstly, The rooms are dated. Especially the bathroom, which is right out of the 80's. They are clean, but very dated. It is frustrating, as there is a lot of potential with the room, with its size. You walk in and go 'oh' as apposed to 'wow'. And all that would need doing is to redecorate it. The only other problem is that the main road runs outside the hotel (as it does with all the other hotels nearby - not just the Oasis) and you can here cars passing constantly all day and night. This can be heard from the pool side of the hotel. On changing the décor of the rooms and sound proofing the balcony doors a bit better this would be a very good hotel. Otherwise, the hotel and staff have grown on me.

Room Tip: Hopefully the road would be quiet in the rooms at the back of the hotel. The rooms overlooking the p...

We stayed for 1 night in this hotel en-route to the airport from Piraeus. The bus to the airport (X96) stops close to the hotel and takes about 40 mins, cost is €5.
We had a quiet, spacious apartment with a large lounge, good size bedroom and bathroom. There was no kitchen, but a fridge plus electric kettle and cups. From our balcony we had lovely views of the pool area which opened on 1st May, when a lifeguard was present.
The reception staff were helpful and spoke good English. We had 2 lunches in the hotel, both were well-presented and reasonably priced. There was a 5-10 minute walk to the restaurants and bars, which were mainly grills and souvlaki places. We were disappointed in Glyfada, and were expecting a more up-market resort with tavernas overlooking the sea, but it was rather tired and a bit run-down.
