“Everything We Needed!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 January 2013

We have stayed at this property several times and will definately return again! The rooms are a little dated, but clean, and the location is excellant! A short walk to the shops and restaurants and bus lines. We lived in Athens, and like to avoid the Plaka for overnight trips, and choose this hotel for that purpose - coming and going to the islands. The staff are very welcoming and accomodating, and the breakfast buffet is superb! The public beach is just across the street, but you really need to take the short walk to the crosswalk as it crosses a major highway, so much safer than trying to dodge Greek drivers! Very reasonable prices, it will always be our choice while in the area!

Room Tip: Noisy area, ty to get room close to the top and with ocean views.

I have stayed there only for a weekend.
It seems to be an average 3* hotel but some things just disappointed me.
Carpets are sooo dated and damaged. Rooms are clean and spacious but carpet just ruin all impression. I couldn't connect free WiFi and that made me troubles. Breakfast was nice and rich. The staff was polite.
The beach is just in front of hotel but you should take a short walk in Athens direction and you ll find much better beaches.
Tram is near hotel so you can easily reach Sintagma. The ride last 1 hour, ticket costs 1,20 eur.

This was a business trip so the balcony on the room with the sea-view was not an advantage, especially since there was a noisy dual carriageway road between the hotel and the beachfront. First impressions were especially dented by the wrinkled and badly marked beige carpet on the landings and in the rooms, though this apparently reflected a bad choice of product and not lack of cleanliness. Second impressions were further dented with no holder for the shower handset and the front of the hotel being floodlit all night, so light leaked round the curtains.
But third impressions were lifted by an excellent breakfast buffet, including muesli and fresh fruit as well as cooked breakfast. And the staff were friendly and helpful throughout.
Glyfada is an upmarket suburb of Athens with a great range of cafes and restaurants and smart shops, with a tram service (40 minutes) right into the centre of Athens. And those sea views and fresh breezes.

Room Tip: Rooms on the side are quieter

I chose this hotel based on its location which is excellent. The centre of Glyfada is less than 5 minutes’ walk away with lots of cafes, shops and restaurants. You can also get into central Athens by tram which is a few minutes’ walk away on the opposite side of the road (you can buy tickets at the stop) or if you want to get there even faster by using the A2 bus from the bus stop just a couple of blocks down from the hotel (you need to have bought your ticket beforehand though). The public beaches of Athens and paying beach clubs are just across the road and offer great facilities for swimming and relaxing.
The hotel has free Wi-Fi and the breakfast is good with a wide range of options. The rooms have a fridge, air-conditioning and a TV.
The bathroom in the room was clean with a good strong shower with plenty of hot water. The hairdryer is your basic hotel dryer so don't rely on it if you really want to be able to dry your hair properly. The beds were also comfortable and clean. Most of the staff were also very helpful.
I would recommend asking for the rooms with the sea view as the ones facing the car park are a bit depressing, but there are chairs and a table on all balconies if you want to sit out or smoke.
The one thing that really brings this hotel down which is a real shame is the carpets. The carpet throughout the hallways and rooms is very old and very stained and really needs to be removed as soon as possible as it really diminishes from the other good points about the hotel and generally makes your stay a bit less comfortable than it could be. I would recommend bringing slippers.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view on a high floor

I visited the Hotel Four Seasons last month. The location is great, close to shopping, the beach and the tram that takes you right in to Athens. The staff in the restaurant and at the desk was all so wonderful. I had some people who were trying to reach me while I was staying there and the gentleman at the front desk made sure I got all my messages. Like most places in Greece they like you to leave your key at the front desk when you leave and by the second day the gentleman who worked there knew me on sight and had my key ready for me. My room was spacious, clean and comfortable. There was a mini fridge, tv and air-conditioning. The bed was tiny but it was just me so I didn't mind. Then there was the food, it was amazing and generous. They really went above and beyond on both the breakfast and dinner buffets with delicious Greek offerings. There was something for everyone and it was all good. The lobby was very pretty, well air-conditioned and the common free computer worked well.
Some criticisms.... The carpeting all over needs to be updated. For some reason my toilet would not flush for me, even when I pushed the button for 3 minutes but the cleaning staff could somehow get it to work. The batteries in the remote for the AC in some rooms was out as well as the TV remote. However the AC remotes are universal so I just turned it on for my fellow travelers. Free wifi only lasts for a limited number of hours, you may be able to get a new password after that but I didn't ask. I enjoyed my stay with the Four seasons and would stay there again.

The hotel is close to the airport and there is no traffic around the area. Just 20 minutes drive and no tools to go to the airport, So if you just need a place to sleep and rest before of after a flight its ok. Small parking around the hotel, usually full especially during weekend. The rooms are small and the furnitures old and the carpet pretty dirty. I stayed there twice before and after my vacations on the greek islands. The first time i had booked 2 suite rooms with sea view for 45 euros each so it was really convinient. The second time, 88 euro for 2 double rooms with interconnecting door. In june that's really cheap so there's a reason why would go back again.

Its hard to know where to start this review ..... We thought we where booking " A Four Seasons Resort hotel" made at the last moment as travel plans changed, But its name is where all similarities end. The reception area is nice area, with a bar and free WIFI and outside seating, Friendly and helpful staff. but the rest of the hotel is in need of modernisation, the decor and rooms are dated but the bedrooms where clean and the bed was very comfortable. I am not sure I would stay again but its value hotel and you get what you pay for. Great location in Glyfada, close to beaches and so very trendy bars.
