We have stayed at Divani Apollon numerous times because it is a family friendly hotel that facilitates our transitional time spent in Athens really well. It is conveniently situated, close to the airport, shopping areas & restaurants. The rooms are recently refurbished, clean & comfortable. The breakfast is outstanding. The pool is a huge attraction for our young children but the beach is their best spot, although it's small & can get crowded. The spa treatments are fabulous pamper sessions for beach body readiness. We also enjoy the tennis court in the late afternoon. The staff deserve a special mention: curteous , competent and good hosts. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Room Tip: We prefer sea facing although the hotel is very well positioned so rooms on poolside capture good vi...

We flew into Athens on the Friday and transfered to the Divani Apollon Palace & Spa in Voluliagmeni. our room had a small balcony looking out to the side of the hotel, but wow what a view. To the left two beautiful pools and the beach, in front of us Athens spread out across the horizon. The room was clean and nicely decorated, shame the shower leaked all over the floor and made the bathroom slippy. it looked like they had tried to put a solution in place for this so at least they were trying to resolve it. We had two buffet breakfasts and one lunch and I can honestly say I have never had a hotel buffet I enjoyed but here I was stuffed and couldnt eat any more! It was varied and excellent quality. I had crepes with chocolate sauce for breakfast OMG! The private beach was clean and tidy and has a small bar serving cold drinks. Only thing I would say is that the hotel is advertised as a 5 star and it doesnt quite make it. I would however recommend it as a short stay hotel and as an excellent base for visiting Athens city centre.

Room Tip: Rooms on right hand side of hotel have good view of athens

If you want to make senseful use of your money, go somewhere else.
They charge 16,80 Euro at the bar for a slice of apple cake and a cappuchino.
They charge 25,50 Euros for a Gin Tonic and a KitKat from the Minibar.
It is a flat-out rip-off.
Staff was obviously brainwashed and commented "this is a 5 star hotel, that is normal". Probably they don't stay at other 5 star hotels all too often.
Besides, I had a table next to the bar, there were 4 waiters and I chose to measure the time until they noticed I had probably come to have something and take my order. They looked at everything but not after their customers. I would still sit there and starve had I not asked for service after 15 minutes.

Fantastic hotel, fantastic location fantastic stuff. We spend there 2 long weekends and an entire week with my family. I could definitely suggest it to anyone. A very nice hotel with great people who really want u to have a great time. It is located, so close to Athens, but also, only 10 steps away from the sea.... The breakfast that is offered is reach without being extravagant. The spa/gym, though a bit expensive is of high quality and very professional. The room service is fast and efficient. The rooms are respectively big and very clean. The view from the rooms is breathtaking. The pools are big and the pool bar and its stuff very good.

I have been for 3 days in this hotel between 9-12 sept. The location is nice. The hotel is located on the coast of the see but not directly on the beach. There is a road between so you can reach the sea by walking a tunnel under the street.
The hotel beach is very small but the sand is ok. The sunbeds are one next to each other so you have to whisper otherwise the whole small beach will know what you are talking.
Anyhow, the water was great great great. Warm and very clean.
Next to the beach there is a terrace where you can enjoy coffees, juices, ice cream and sandwiches (dont expect something elegant; its just a regular beach terrace but its good to be there).
The hotel itself is big, clean enough but you don't have the feelling at all that you are in a 5* hotel. I have paid 310 euros per night ofr an executive room which should have had 40sqm, but I got a 25 sqm room with a front sea view. Most of the rooms are side sea view.
The hotel doesn't worth such tariffs.
Breakfast was good but again not a 5*.
The staff was very friendly.
The hotel beach restaurant Mythos, which has tables right on the border of the sea, has a very good food. Expensive but good and the service was excellent. The staff absolutely acting with high courtesy.
Overall I had a nice stay, but the price paid for hotel was much too high for what this hotel is offering.

Room Tip: Ask specifically a room with front sea view. Most of the rooms appear as 'sea view" but the...

I have just returned from a business trip to Greece and this hotel was the perfect place.

The people were always smiling and kind, the rooms were clean and bright. And of course ... the food was good, like Greek food usually is.

So, if you have time to enjoy some time, to relax, to go to the beach, don’t hesitate.

If you need to go to a conference or need to travel to Athens for business, don’t hesitate.
