“Friendly and Accommodating Staff”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 February 2014

Our stay was very nice. Rooms were typical European style, very clean, and no cigarette smell (big plus). One negative, you could hear other guests through bathroom vents on occasion and occasional late night activity.

Free internet, breakfast included. Location is very close to the beach.

Meeting services were good, and staff was very accommodating to last minutes requests. Everyone was very friendly - thank you - Andreas, Dora and all the staff.

Amarilia is a good place for small conferences. I enjoyed a very friendly service and great breakfast and lunch buffets as well a clean and comfortable room. Not a place to spend a longer vacation but an attractive combination of good hotel facilities close to a beach and the great city of Athens.

I wanted to be near or on a beach but also near Athens. I cannot speak highly enough about my experience at the Amarilia. On my last day, visiting the next tiny resort, I was knocked down by a motor bike. I was lucky in as much as a doctor & doctor wife found me in the middle of the road and called an asmbulence and then the hotel (I was able to give the name) and after that I could not have had greater kindness from the owners and staff. They even sent 2 staff members to the hospital. M recovery is progressing slowly but I am even thinking of going back there one fine day but next time with my husband!

Room Tip: Next time, I would ask for a sea view room.

Amarilia may be not the most modern space age hotel in the beautiful Kavouri/Vouliagmeni suburbia in athens, but offers a very good and kind service rated with good cleanlyness of common areas and rooms. Rooms themselves are...Roomy and silent with a nice view alternatively on the beach/sea or the beautiful internal swimming pool. The furniture may be too much "simple" to match with luxury standards, but even the price doesn't match with luxury standards and this is a good thing in an expensive rated area such Kavouri is. breakfast is complete and continental with good quality salted 'n swett amenities freshly baked or made every day. The yogurt is to be tasted with all the seeds, honey and whatever you can add in. Coffe is not bad and in the bar they serve a good nespresso. Beds are little bit tough and the mattresses could be softer, but your rest is anyway assured by the enjoiable silence that can allow you hear the sound of the sea wawes breaking into the beach....Is worth a booking expecially for the good quality/price rating.

Room Tip: try to book a sea view room.....

In general it is a location for conferences but not for single travellers. I do not agree with the high price for a single traveller 80 Euro, nearly off season (end of September) Bar was mostly closed (from 2 pm onwards closed ) no information material at room, the fridge did not work. In general, I would not book again this hotel. A bit overrated. The only hightligh is the wonderful breakfast buffet with lovely staff! Ευχαρστώ πολύ!

very good breakfast buffet and good sized rooms. We didn't get a room with a view but it was a good size it faced the street and it was located very close to the beach. Would recommend it to friends and family.
