This is a very pretty place to visit, especially in the spring with the flower gardens. It is close to the train station. The rooms are nice but the outside is splendid.

The Royal Palace at Aranjuez is well worth a visit, beautiful gardens with a good selection of trees, fountains and statues and an amazing collection of art, furniture, tapestries etc inside the palace make this a great place to visit and explore. Good train service from Atocha Madrid (Cercanias C3) It is possible to visit for free mid week afternoons and other concessions.

A lovely palace decorated in the usual Renaissance style. There are some beautiful rooms here including a Porcelain room. The gardens are lovely too but there is a little road train which will take you around in about 40 minutes for 5 Euros. Ask the driver to turn on the English explanation.
