The rooms we stayed with family weren't the pictured ones you see on the internet . Our double bedroom was cramped. Two separate bedded room was more spacious. soap and shampoo dispensers were broken. The rooms and bath were very clean. The hotel was well situated. Easy access to restaurants and train station. Breakfast was moderate. Workers were helpful.

Nice hotel, staff very friendly, good english spoken, good for stop over and business stay but wouldnt stay as holiday, not much to see if you had no car, all though rail links are good. biggest disapointment no tea or coffee making facilities in rooms. room design not good walls must be made of paper you can here the shower, toilet flush and bath as if it was in the room.

Room Tip: for more room size take the mini suite

The hotel was excellent value at 43 euros per night which included a good continental breakfast served in a delightful breakfast area.

-Check in was efficient enough but reception staff not particularly welcoming. However, we were able to get extra pillows and ice for the room without any problem. The room did not have a hairdryer but again we got one from reception.

The actual bedroom was a negative while the shower was excellent and the bed very comfortable the room was tiny and looked directly into someone elses bedroom! While the bed was fine the furnishings and TV were in need of redecoration and restoration.

The hotel provides underground parking but at around 15 euros a day it is very expensive. You can find a free parking space in one of the surrounding streets for nothing.

Location - it is about a 10 minute walk from the metro station and it takes about an hour to get into the centre of Madrid.

Leganes is not particularly convenient for the centre of Madrid because of the road system making Alcorcon a better alternative on the south side of Madrid.

Recommended even though not at a central location.

Location: Not that near to the train station, more than 10 minutes walk away. But really 5 minutes to the University (entrance), which has a lovely campus. A large Hiber supermarket (0900-2100) nearby, with lots of fresh fruits. Along that street there are also lots of places to eat at. Especially recommended is the Meson Gallego Gracy Abanades. The whole neighborhood is quiet, safe and not touristy at all, so you can fully immerse in the local feel.

Reception: We had two different online bookings, both honored and recorded. There was always at least one English-speaking staff at the reception. We arrived way before the check-in time, but got our room right after it was cleaned (20 mins wait). Maps of the central area were provided upon request, and the staff even photostated a copy of the Leganes map for us. Check-out was a breeze as we had already paid in full. It's nice when they take your word for it that you didn't take anything from the minibar (as compared to some who send the housekeeping to check the room first).

Breakfast: Included with our booking, the breakfast was excellent by my standards. Open from 7am on weekdays and 8 am on weekends, forgot the end time. Food was fresh, and constantly replenished. Croissants were excellent, and so were the other breads. The juices were not freshly squeezed though, but they do have fresh cut fruits. Not much warm food, but there're scrambled egg, sausage and bacon. Good enough.

Room: Spacious and clean, brightly lit, with mini-fridge (not that cold), free wifi that works, and a large desk (at least for our room). Beds were comfortable too, and there was a power outlet that was easily accessible (the other one is in the toilet). Full aircon control (not those freezing central air conditioning that never respond to your adjustments). Not sure how it is in winter. No water kettle or coffee maker, and no bedroom slippers. No safe-box, and clothes hangers cannot be removed (you can't hang them anywhere else besides the wardrobe). No iron, so it can be a bit of a headache for some.

Bathroom: Clean and bright, with enough toilet roll, hand soap, shampoo and body wash. Disposable toiletries include a comb and a shower cap. Can't recall the rest. No toothbrush though. Towels feel clean and crisp. No hair dryer, but there is an accessible wall socket for electricity. Only gripe is the lack of a shower curtain or screen, so you have to be careful taking the shower or the water will spray out of the tub. Shower head is non-detachable, but water pressure is strong and water heating is consistently good.

Friendly staff but it takes 20 minutes per guest to checkin. I asked for a non smoking room but you could smell strong smoke in there. Breakfast is not worth the price of 10€. Location to university is great but it takes a 15 min walk from
the station.

We stayed at this Hotel from December 25th thru January 7th, 2012 to visit family. It was a great experience!! The hotel room was very clean and spacious. The bathroom was large and always had hot water. It was close to two Metros, and lots of shopping and bars/restaurants. The best tapas in all of Leganes, and Madrid, has to be at La Sotana de Don Paco - make sure you go!!! We will definitely stay at Tryp Leganes again!

I visited Madrid for a project meeting at the University Carlos III and the hotel was an obvious choice being appr. 3 minutes from the University. The price was very good (40 euros/night), the bathroom was well-equipped and clean. The room was also very clean but cold as I stayed there in December and the heating did not seem to go over 20 Celsius, but there were blankets so it did not matter. Breakfast was good, especially for me who have a sweet tooth, Spanish pastries and donuts are wonderful.

All in all it was suitable for a short business stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room which doeas not look at the main street as it gets noisy in the morning.
