We stayed two nights with Rodger and found the experience very enjoyable. The cottage is very near the end of the road and our room had good views from both the bedroom and the bathroom. As one would expect it was very quiet.
The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom roomy with a good shower.

The breakfast was all one could wish for, a menu to choose from for those who wanted cooked items and a very good selection of fruit, fruit juices, cereals and yoghurts as well.

Rodger offered to cook us an evening meal which we took advantage of. At breakfast the offered us a choice of starter and main course for the evening (understandably we both had to select the same pairing). The food was again of a very high standard. We took our own wine which made the evening all the more enjoyable.

We sat down with Rodger in his lounge both evenings and enjoyed his company.

Room Tip: A great place to stay. The twin ensuite room was the one we stayed in and the views were very good...

An absolutely fantastic find! What an incredible place to stay, not only in terms of the actual location but also in terms of the service you receive.

The views are utterly stunning and change from minute to minute. The room I stayed in was fantastic and the facilities are excellent and immaculate.

The meals, breakfast and dinner were excellent.

Rodger and Kathryn are extremely welcoming and work tirelessly to make your stay perfect.

Will definitely return.

Everything we could have wanted. Beautiful, remote, friendly, French toast for breakfast. The accommodation was clean and comfortable . There were interesting books to read. Finding it was challenging but the instructions worked no problem. We couldn't recommend it more highly

I loved this b&b. The rooms are a nice size, very clean, beds super comfortable, with modern en suites. Breakfast is excellent, with lots of choice, cooked to perfection. Dinner is on request, and great if you don't feel like going out. I would recommend staying here.

Clean, comfortable rooms and en-suite were clean. Breakfast had a good selection and Rodger's cooking skills were evident. We had our own lounge with huge selection of dvd and books. Hosts were very knowledgeable about the island. Two fantastic beaches within 1km in both directions out the main gate. On the other side of the island but still only 10 min drive from ferry terminal and shops/hotel. Fantastic 3 course evening meal was provided.

Room Tip: All rooms have sea view.

Our first visit to Colonsay and what a great impression it made on us . An unspoilt ,friendly and truly glorious island which was topped by our stay with Rodger . We had booked for one night only but ,due to unforeseen gales in Oban and our ferry being cancelled ,we were lucky to have Rodger's warm hospitality for an extra night ! Rodger's home is relaxing ,clean and comfortable and he has a knack of making people feel special . We had two fantastic meals which we felt were better quality and imaginative than most restaurants provide . Breakfasts ,too , were superb . If you visit Colonsay this B andB is a "must". We hope we can return and will definitely recommend Rodger to our friends . Jill and Ian

First class in every way. And what a superb location!
Rodger's catering is not to be overlooked. You will not be disappointed with the choice of breakfast, freshly prepared, a three course dinner and a packed lunch should you wish for one.
All in all, an excellent place to stay on the island.
