Bermuda is a special place, and my husband and I are in love with it. We’ve had the pleasure to stay at a few places on the island, and more than once at Tucker’s Point at different times of the year. The property is absolutely stunning with lovely views and tons of cedar in the lobby; and the rooms (all with balconies) and facilities are gorgeous. The location is convenient near the airport and not too far from Hamilton. Also, it’s notable that the spa is one of the best (if not the best) on the island, as is the adjacent golf course (Mid Ocean Club). The beach club is another high-point – absolutely beautiful and better than a lot of the other resort beaches in Bermuda. My one complaint about the beach is that the trolley only leaves every 30 minutes – a bit more frequent in high season would be better. The resort is very expensive, but so are many of the options in Bermuda... However, because of the high price, I do think they still have some kinks to work out. The staff is helpful and friendly, but there were silly issues with our initial reservation and then our bill (both of which were resolved). Also, there are cheap toiletries in the (absolutely stunning) bathrooms and no coffee or tea in the room. For coffee or tea you have to come downstairs to the main lobby, which in a bathrobe could be a bit awkward. None of this is a big deal, but it’s good to note. There is a restaurant, which has an excellent breakfast and formal dinner – and during the summer, there is a great restaurant at the beach club. However, during the winter there are very few options for food – we felt the need to dine out or get room service (which was excellent). Also, there is no causal coffee shop or place to grab a yoghurt at all, so you do feel the need to plan your meals more formally if you’re not into room service. Overall, in the off-season, if you’re looking for a place to hole up and relax, then Tucker’s Point is a perfect option. In the summer, it’s an excellent option all around if you can manage the price.

Room Tip: Villas are quite far from the manor house, so are very private. Manor house rooms are beautiful and...

This is probably the best hotel on the island. Service is top-notch, the grounds are gorgeous, the rooms are large and very clean, and the food is very good. It's not the best food I've ever had, but it's very good resort food. One potential down-side is that it's not on top of the beach, so you do need to take the little trolley over (or walk about a mile or so), but they beach they have is gorgeous with a wonderful little bar that serves up the beach drinks that are obligatory on Bermuda. This is a great place for couples or families, but if I were traveling with friends, I'd probably opt for a place in Hamilton, where there's some night life.

Rosewood's Tucker's Point is pure and simply a beautiful hotel! Every room has a view of the bay, The decor is lush and very comfortable! The lobby, bar, restaurants and library are so well designed and decorated, that you want to duplicate them in your own home! Your are always greeted by the most wonderful doormen in Bermudian attire, and the entire staff is always friendly and helpful. On one visit, we even met Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip who attended a dinner at the hotel during their last trip to Bermuda. The resort has every amenity including the beach club, the golf course, spa and an excellent work out facility.

This is truly a mixed review, and a difficult one to summarize. The hotel itself (billed as the top of the list locally) presents itself beautifully, and is initially welcoming and in synch with its aspirations to be a high end Bermuda vacation spot. The staff (especially those in the bar and restaurant) are excellent in all respects, and genuinely make you feel comfortable and 'at home'.
High spots were the service and food quality of dinners at the Point restaurant, views and general ambiance at the western pool and terrace, and highly accommodating and friendly staff at the Golf Club.
We were upgraded to a "Pool Side" room - which means "pool Side" but "Bush View". Inconceivably, a pool side room has French doors that open onto a narrow terrace with a 5 foot tall hibiscus hedge that totally blocks what otherwise would be a wonderful view over the eastern pool to Castle Harbour and St. George's Parish. The room itself was to the 'Four Seasons/Ritz Carlton' standard we anticipated, except that both the toilet and the bath leaked...and the toiletries were cheap and had nauseating after-aromas.
We've never however stayed in a noisier environment. All the suite doors are heavy and in metal casings...so the blast of slamming doors was constantly in the background at all hours. Internal walls appear to be paper thin, so we could hear every time an adjacent toilet flushed or our neighbours decided to argue with each other (which happened all week during our stay). The pool is surrounded on three sides by high-tower rooms, so the noise issue continued outdoors where every sound is trapped and reverberates within this echo chamber.
As friendly and accommodating as the restaurant/bar and golf staff were - the opposite applied to front desk staff. We wanted information of golf packages and accommodations for two or three couples for a return visit later in 2014. It was like pulling teeth to try to see a larger suite or condo rental unit on the property, and we were sent all over the place to meet representatives of the rental pool who never delivered. After wasting two hours on the concept, we were told "you can check the suite floorplans on line". As marketing representatives, these people were simply Brain Dead!
One item of note is that Tuckers Point has the worst coffee on earth. A cross between dish water and weak chicory...we finally figured out that there was some limited capacity for an espresso, though no coffee alternatives appear on any menu. The rest of the world has made excellent morning coffee into a daily ritual...but it appears the memo never was delivered in Bermuda.
On balance, we liked the place, but sadly will not probably return simply because the aggravations were just a bit higher than our expectations.

Room Tip: Avoid 'Warwick' rooms 7 to 16 - the views are all blocked by a stupid hedge.

This is an elegantly appointed property and the staff may be some of the best I have ever encountered! Our room had a spectacular view of Castle Harbor and the ocean and the dining facilities were outstanding. We had dinner one night at The Pointe, the main restaurant there, and the food was first-rate. The golf course was close by and exceptional. The beach, about a ten minute golf cart ride away, was picturesque. I had no complaints at all!

The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. Really such a lovely staff. The view from our private and spacious balcony was inviting. The room was more than comfortable, the bathroom was very large and the tub even larger. Aside from the usual door to the bathroom, this bathroom was equipped with dual sliding doors that allowed you to bathe with the view out our balcony or just into the bedroom. I want to do the same to my own home, it was a fun idea.

The grounds are well kept and luxurious. Two pools at the hotel, one with a view east for sunrise and the other an endless pool, western view for beautiful sunsets. This pool was our preferred spot for relaxing.

The beach is a free 7min. trolly ride away. Soft white sand and turquoise water on a private beach. An endless pool and a large children's pool round out the stunning setup. Seemingly no services off season, but who cares with the views and privacey.

We found out after the fact that Bemuda is not known for it's food. We ate on the property only once (The Point) and found some choices very good and others, not so much. Surprisingly and at all of our meals the meat options were usually better than the fish choices. The ambiance was nice though conservative. Again professional staff.

Location was easy airport access 15-20min $25 cab ride w tip. 20 min west is Hamilton, just a day trip will do. West of Hamilton was just a little too far for our 5 day stay and scooter rental. So if you desire the Royal navy dock yard and sites west of Hamilton this may not be ideal. The oldest town of St George is an easy ride and nice little day trip, coupled with a tour of the Crystal caverns.

Overall our stay was really a nice treat. Enjoy!

We celebrated our 14th anniversary at this beautiful property and it was as if we had recreated our honeymoon! We were treated like a king and queen and each and every member of the hotel was focused solely on our having a superior experience.
From the room (spacious, well appointed, beautiful), to the view (breathtaking!), to the food (excellent with excellent service), to the amminities, to the beach, to the pools to the walking paths, and so on and so on - each area exceeded our expecations!
We cannot wait to return to the property in the near future!

Room Tip: Not a bad room in the hotel! We were fortunate to have a room at the top of the hotel - great view!
