Once again I can't say enough about the overall value of selecting this resort when visiting Bermuda. Yes, there are other more upscale properties on the island with more amenities however, you will pay a fortune to stay at these places and I have learned the hard way that more doesn't always mean better. The Grotto has a great friendly staff, a nice clean beach with plenty of seating, clean rooms, and an all inclusive meal plan that no property on the island can match. For $110.00 per day, per person, you get all of your meals and drinks. This includes liquor! The food choices are excellent and I have never been disappointed. We find the rooms to be perfect although some travelers feel that they are a bit on the small side. Their best amenity is their staff. Victor, Estaban, Wilfredo, Matthew, Christian and Eugene are just a few who make certain your vacation is the best it can be. They are all awesome. Jonee King, at the front desk, is another gem who immediately resolved a small booking problem and then gave my group a complimentary lunch for the inconvenience . This place is perfect is you just want to get away to Bermuda for a few days and have everything on-site. Great beach, nice pool and poolside bar, 2 nice restaurants, great service and all offered at a reasonable price. What else do you need?

Room tip: Ocean front are worth the extra money!

The staff was amazing and helpful in many ways. Needed a little bit more activities. The caves were amazing along with the beach, pool and cazebo area. There were two employees that went above and beyond. June and Neitra, they were very informative each day and made sure my day would included enough excitement. Great place to stay. Oh and don't forget the rooms. They all have sea view which was breathtaking.

Would visit again. Staff was really cool, all.

One problem I had was with the night bar man who was rude and charged me $10 for 2 cups of small coffees. I found out by seeing the prices the morning I was leaving. Mean old man.

It's a very chill and quiet atmosphere, not much entertainment here and a lot of the tourists were older couples & seniors. It rained a lot so we weren't able to utilize the pool or nearby beach areas 🙁 sadly. I love that the resort has its own caves that you can explore and swim at your own risk. The food wasn't the greatest so we tried other local places nearby. Make sure to ask for tokens to take the bus to & from the resort (saves you a lot of money). I wish there were more options to do for visitors specially on a rainy day. Beware the food is very expensive and it's the same menus nothing special. We didn't have much of choice for desert.

Dear CeePrice,

Thank you very much for your comments. Sorry the weather did not cooperate during your stay with us. Unusual and unfortunate. Really surprised and disappointed to read your comments regarding food selection since besides featured menu we also offer several specials daily. I do wish to thank you for your input and assure you that I have shared your comments with our Executive Chef so he may review menus and number of specials. Please accept our apologies. Although food in Bermuda is expensive due to import duties we do offer meal plans and an All Inclusive Supplement. The All Inclusive Supplement is a fantastic value at $114.00 per person per night. All Inclusive Supplement includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages (excl. bottles of wine and champagne), water sports, transportation pass and tennis.

I hope you will give us another chance so we may show of our offerings during beautiful weather.

Regards,

JP Martens

I stayed at Grotto Bay for three nights in February with my three sisters. What a beautiful hotel! The staff is the sweetest! Then again, across the island people are just so wonderful. There is a cave you can swim in, at your own risk, as long and late as you'd like! We took full advantage of this perk. The Swizzle Inn is right outside the hotel but we did all inclusive so frankly I didn't visit the Swizzle Inn until my 2nd trip to Bermuda in August. We met a lovely couple from England while we were there and they became our vacation parents. I believe I have pictures of them somewhere in my iPhone lol. The pool is heated. The rooms are spacious. The grounds are maintained impeccably. Perfect stay. I'll definitely be going back.

Room tip: Every room is great! You're either close to the beach/pool or close to the dining and bar.

Grotto Bay is a wonderful place to relax and put yourself back together after the hustle and bustle of daily life. So many things to see and do as well. The staff, especially June Ann, the entire front desk staff, dining room staff including Liviu, Willfredo, Christian, Veronica, Victor, actually everyone are such an asset. I must include the bar staff as well. I always look forward to coming to Bermuda and staying at Grotto Bay.
