“Interesting & informative with lots to see”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 April 2014

Bermuda Maritime Museum is situated at the Dockyard at the tip of Bermuda. The whole area is well worth a visit with lots to see & do. Although the museum is not interactive I personally found all the displays very interesting & learnt a lot about Bermuda which I had not previously known. I particularly found the history of slavery exhbition interesting. In addition there are plenty of other things to do at the Dockyard apart from the Museum, lots of tax free shopping, good eating places & bars, and great views. I have to say I wasn't keen on seeing the dolphins in such a small pool, I had a quick look & swiftly left, not really my thing.

“Historical journey”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 March 2014

If you're interested in learning about the history of Bermuda, then this is a great place to visit. There's tons to see on display and each article/item has a story to it. This museum is located in dockyard so the views from here are amazing. You really feel like you've gone back in time and are experiencing all the history happening right before you.

“Fun for all!!”

This is a delightful afternoon spent in the Maritime area of Dockyard, Bermuda.
The Dolphins are so well taken care of and perform beautifully, the girls who train them and work with them particularly Kelly really know what they're doing , its something great for all ages and they do Birthday parties for the little one's. Dockyard has so many great things to do, take the whole family.

“Great value, fantastic site”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 March 2014 via mobile

Visited in March 2014 before the start of the cruise ship season so it was not busy at all. Admission is a total deal as both our kids were free (ages 3,11).

Exhibit wise, the 3 that really stood out were the shipwreck hall, the electricity in Bermuda exhibit and the history of slavery. All very interesting and well presented.

The grounds of the fort are incredible too...how all this was constructed in the 1800s is an engineering marvel!

Tip: you can enter and leave with your admission so pop out for lunch and then come back. The Pastry cafe is excellent for lunch and is nearby.

“A Must See in Bermuda”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 March 2014

This is a wonderful museum with an extensive history collection. Be prepared; there is an lot of walking and things to see here.
The governors house was especially wonderful with beyond fantastic views and wonderful history lessons; there are different rooms , with artifacts, and explanations-each room tells about an era of Bermudan history- this was very interesting and informative.
The grounds are great as well- for whatever reason, there are sheep walking around! There is an underground "fort" with cannons and military items- this part of the museum was great as well.
Overall, this is one of the best attractions is all of Bermuda
