Great hotel... our stay was good nice and quiet so dont be put off by the closeness to the airport... fair distance to walk to central shopping area so i hired a scooter for the 3 weeks i stayed there... I recommend this hotel for young or older couples.. also good for a solo to get away from life and relax... Highly recommend this hotel and will be staying again

Every facet of our stay here was excellent, cannot praise the staff highly enough.
Rooms were silent at night, excellent cleanliness and quality mattresses.
Pool fantastic and right out the front door of our room. Will recommend to everyone come here and be pampered, far above the usual 3 star quality.

We booked over the net from other reviews and we were not dissapointed. It was our first time in Tuban and we found a lovely place to stay. Initialy I pictured the hotel to be on the beach due to the sites photos. It is situated on the opposite side of the beach fronts on the corner of the road. The reastuarant is like a tree house with no view of the beach but interesting to watch the street going ons. We had ground floor which was metres away from a a sizable pool with a waterfall. The rooms were good with a nice bathroom. The beds were fantastic and my wife recommends the pillows and quality of sleep she had. Some people were a little put off the pool was visable by the roadside but I thought we had ample privacy. The spa/massage business ran from the hotel was relatively popular, which gave us some people watching opportunities. we didnt try it as we thought it was over priced. We both had a fantastic massage up the road for $100rp each, I cant remember the name, but they were very professional and lovley surrounds. The hotel manager was friendly and always keen to check in. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good, restuarant was fine. The walk to Kuta was fun and interesting. I day shopping and eating in Kuta is recoomended, so nice to return to peace and quiet of Tuban. We booked for 4 nights for $70Au / night and thought it was good value for money. As it was minutes to the airport we booked it as a base to start from then went bargain hunting for vacant villas else where.

We stayed at this hotel for seven nights for the second week of our holiday. Sadly we were a little disappointed given the rave reviews it has received.
We requested and received a room on the top floor which was fantastic. The rooms are great. They seem to have been recently decorated, have modern a/c, nicely furnished, flat screen tv, large fridge, large room/bathroom balcony with fantastic view etc. They actually have a double bed whch is good, if very hard and a little uncomfortable. Sadly surely the room is such a small, but significant, part of your holiday.
Despite the room being on the top floor, there is a lot of noise at night, which surprised us. Dogs barking and traffic noise being the main culprits, the majority of our time here we did not feel well rested. We thought there being no lift wouldn't bother us but it does become a small pain after a while.
The hotel has a large pool which looks great. It was, however, very cold and pleasant only for short dips.
The spa was fantastic, we only used it once however it was probably my favourite of the trip. The spa at the top of the restaurant building is very quiet, cool and treatments were well executed.
The restaurant itself was disapointing. Breakfast was not very appetising, fruit was fine, cereal was odd with lukewarm UHT milk, cooked breakfast not of the quality we had previously, indonesian breakfast was fine, but not something we really wanted for breakfast. We only ate at the restaurant once when it was raining, I can safely say it was the worst we had in two weeks, the mains were of very poor quality, much better available locally.
The location of the hotel is not great. It is right next to the airport and some distance from the centre of Kuta. There are plenty taxis and a free shuttle (if you time it right) but if you prefer to walk as we do it's probably a little too far (we are 28/30). It is close to the beach however this area is mostly a locals hangout.
Kuta beach is very good, the resort is very busy so you have to be prepared for that. Plenty of everyhing but we found it to be more expensive for food/drink than Sanur, despite what the locals say.
Overall we would return to Kuta but definitely not the Green Garden Beach resort.

we arrived at GGBR on a very wet morning on Dec 30th, myself, hubby, daughter and her fiance, and as soon as we checked in we knew we were in a good place, we were greeted by members of staff including the manager and not just reception, what a welcoming place. we were given a welcome drink and relaxed for a while. As it was only 9.30am the rooms were not yet ready (as we expected) but they stored our luggage for us and we went for a walk, the beach is only about 50mt down a laneway and a path to the right from the beach you can walk to Discovery mall, 15 min walk, which we done. Got a taxi back to the hotel only 6.000 Rp (about 65cents) about 1pm, sat and had a drink in the restaurant and this is where we first met Henri, what a great guy, first of many chats with him. Got the keys to our rooms 2x ground floor as requested, 13 and 14, and wow! the rooms exceeded our expectations, great rooms, very spacious, massive bed, flat screen Tv, large bathroom with corner bath, and being ground floor looked out over the pool area, tinted windows so no one can see in, good privicy, very handy to walk out to the pool, which we done staright away, the pool is lovely and relaxing surrounded by frangipanni trees and gardens, the waterfall is a great feature, along side the pool is the day spa rooms, sauna and jacuzzi. we spent a very relaxing afternoon by the pool
The hotel is in a great location and close to dining and shopping but in a quite place, great for couples
Rooms were serviced daily, restaurant is great, good food and choice of menu, breakfast is great cooked fresh to your order from the menu, spa treatments and massages are great and good value for money, we all had a 2 hour spa treatment during our stay, the spa girls are lovely and so friendly, all the staff at this hotel are amazing, the hotel also do a free transport to the airport on departure, but book the day before
we spent the best NYE ever here, thanks guys
Thanks to all the staff at GGBR and a special thankyou to Andy,Henri, Adhi, Ari and Wayan, you guys rock! we will hold a special place in our hearts for you all always and can't wait to come back and see you all again :-)

Booked this hotel for our 1st stay in a mini round the world trip on the strength of reviews on trip advisor. We were welcome when we arrived with some drinks and all of the staff said hello and welcoem. A very local feel to the hotel and extremely personalised. Our room was on the top floor with sea views through the tree's and our bed was massive!!! Flat screen tv, corner bath in a lovely tiled bathroom. Spotless and cleaned daily. The pool area was shaded with trees and beautiful flowers and the staff very respectfully prayed daily and burnt incense in a quiet part of the gardens. The spa is well renowned locally and very competitively priced that guests from other hotels often came to the Green Gardens for the excellent service. Convinced my very manly soldier partner to have a pedicure, which he absolutely loved! It was over an hour and half long and was the best £8 ever spent! The two girls were excellent and friendly and very chatty. The restaurant staff, the young males are so polite, respectful and courteous, you feel like Royalty. The little walk through the side bath onto the beach walk front is a little dark at night, but relatively safe once you get past the fact it is so dark. You must try the Desiri fish restaurant. They let you select your own lobster, prawns etc, weight them and cook them for you. It is very much like a chinese restaurant but so so so so so good, we went there twice in 7 days! The food is better than anything else ever hard. Dont go to the Hard Rock Cafe in Kuta, total rip off. Do try the white water rafting up the mountains, we paid $40 each, so so so worth the money, such fun, great people and the meal high up in the mountain restaurant afterwards, is delicious local cuisine. Bali beaches were excellent, the streets noisey with motor bikes, and the taxi's annoying when they drive past and constantly toot for your business, but the people, are wonderful.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
On behalf of all the staff & management, we thank you to all lovely patrons of Green Garden Beach Resort & Spa who have visited the hotel and become our extended families. The hotel will soon undergo a major renovation and will be closed as from 20 September 2013. Hopefully the schedule will be on time and we will be again seeing you all in the first quarter of 2015. You will be dearly missed but will see you again with our new face - more functional, more stylish, and definitely younger and fresher.... :-) Nestled in the peaceful Tuban village of South Kuta Beach, this intimate & small boutique resort is designed for couples looking for a romantic holiday. It is located less than 50 meters away from a beautiful sandy beach with clear calm water protected by off-shore coral reefs. Attractions of Kuta are within easy strolling distance including shops and a wide range of restaurants. Comprising of 15 guest rooms, only a few steps away from its well-kept frangipani garden and relaxing swimming pool with cascading waterfall, this intimate boutique resort is probably one of the most renowned budget hotels in Bali and provides superb facilities that will impress even the most discerning travellers. The spa is arguably one of the best in Bali with exotic traditional treatments and spa cottages, performed by skillful therapists. Being popular among lovers and honeymooners, children under 18 years are unfortunately not welcome at this resort as serenity must be maintained at all times. However this will change after the renovation is fully completed - families with children will be welcome in 2015. Currently the hotel consists of 4 levels and there is no elevator to the upper guest rooms. Ocean view is available from the upper rooms. Please feel free to contact the Resident Manager for any special requests. Thanks. ... more   less
