We saved this restaurant for our final, romantic night in Bali, and we were not disappointed. The sunset view is as good as it gets. I would highly recommend getting there just before sunset and watching the sun go down.
The waiters were generally very professional, friendly and attentive, and even offered mosquito repellent when they saw us hunting for some in our bag.
We enjoyed having a chat to a few of the waiters, whose English is excellent.
We were offered a complimentary entrée, which was a great start to the night. The food was delicious. We ordered a sizzling beef plate which was cooked to perfection and tasted great. We also ordered a pork bento box, which very good, although the pork probably should have been served slightly hotter.
One thing which confused us was that in the menu, the hotpot option said something like "all you can eat", but the person at the entry said that it just meant you got to eat all of the food mentioned in the list of hotpot food, and that you couldn't request more if you were still hungry. I'm not sure if this was a problem with the menu's wording, or a misunderstanding between the staff member and us.
There was quite a long wait for the bill, and we actually had to ask a second waiter for it after about 10 minutes.
Tepan Noodle was a great place for a special dinner, and we will return next time we're in Bali. We will probably try the teppanyaki next time.
