This restaurant is situated in the little village of Beblenheim on the Route du Vin, and is owned by David the chef and Elizabeth, possibly the best restaurant owner I have ever met. She has a huge personality and a wonderful sense of humour and an excellent command of English (she is Austrian by birth). I was there with a group of Australian and American photographers and the first nigth we had to eat in ahurry so as to catch the evening night. She obliged us with a very fast service. We went there again the following night and she welcomed us as if we were family, and kept us laughing all night. The Autumn menu was full of good things made of autumnal ingredients: wild boar, pigeon, wild mushrooms, pumpkin soup... all of which were absolutley delicious. The desserts were fantastic also. The staff were very friendly also and joined in the fun. Our waiter was a young man who was extremely efficient, friendly and fun and also spoke good English. The restaurant is one of the few in France that opens at 6:30pm for dinner, so very good for people who don't want to wait till 7. Really, really good... I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough.
