We have been unfortunate enough to visit this beautiful part of the country in an unseasonably wet week. For this reason we couldn't avail of the pretty outdoor terrace area. However, the couple who appeared to own/run this restaurant welcomed us warmly even if the weather did not!
It is worth noting that this is an Italian restaurant rather than a pizzeria so it is pasta, fish and meat dishes that are on offer. The menu is not extensive (although the wine list is!) but that is often the sign of an establishment that is more concerned with quality rather than quantity - which certainly proved to be the case here.
Three out of four of us had pasta dishes which were declared rich and tasty while I had a fish dish that was perfectly cooked (fish is all too often overdone) and came with rice and a beautifully delicate sauce. For desserts we had panna cotta and a trio of desserts containing ice cream, mousse and chocolate cake. The panna cotta's were everything they should be but the chocolate sponge was dry and disappointing.
Nevertheless, this was a very positive dining experience that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone in the region.
