Stayed in Saint Omer for 2 nights to explore real France, welcomed with Cake and Drinks by Veronique. The property 100 years old has been modernised without compromising its history. This approach really works. You feel you are in a French home rather than a B & B.

Good nights sleep in a comfortable bed, large room with 2 double beds at front of house.Bathroom spacious with Microwave,Fridge and Kettle. This all seemed to be 3 X size of Hotel Room.

No issues Parking, safe area, free wi-fi, 10 mins to town walking.

Breakfast First Class with home made yoghurt good to see variant between croissants / baguettes / buns /Strawberries over the two Mornings.

Our hosts helpfull on ideas what to do over our time here, cannot fault.

Room Tip: All rooms have great features let Veronique suggest best one

We Stayex here for the second time for 2 nights' excellent place to stay about 40 minutes from the Tunnel We were made to feel at home with a welcome beer at the end of our journey. the rooms are spacious and clean as is the bathroom.' Beds are really comfortable We had a fridge and a microwave in our room, great if you are doing a weekend shop. The breakfast here is very good with homemade jams, youghurt and cake along with croissant etc.. Excellent . Thank you Veronique and Bruno for providing such a lovely bed and breakfast. Parking is just across the road and is free. The town centre is about 10 minutes walk and has a good selection of restaurants.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quieter although the canal side road is not too busy there will be cars passin...

This was our second visit to Veronique and Bruno's home and we were made to feel so very welcome. Our room was large and airy overlooking the canal - very quiet at night and full of Veronique's treasures. Our breakfasts were delicious and eaten looking out at the loveliest secret garden. Why would anyone want to stay in a chain hotel - they don't stand on the step and wave you goodbye!

This was our last stop on a 3 week tour in France and Italy and it was one of the best night's sleep we had. The room was delightful and the bed super comfortable. As other reviewers have mentioned, the breakfast is excellent.
Veronique is a lovely host and made us feel most welcome.
And from getting in the car next morning we were in the lane, waiting to board our ferry at Calais, in 35 minutes.
A perfect stopover en route from/to Calais and Saint-Omer is an interesting small town.

Room Tip: We had a room on the road side, overlooking the canal, but were not disturbed at all by noise from o...

I had the very great pleasure of staying here in May at the recommendation of the local tourist board. From the initial warm welcome from Veronique, through to the rooms and then the fabulous breakfast the entire stay was a joy. The room we were in had lovely old period furniture, great bedding and a spacious bathroom. Breakfast is served in the conservatory and consists of many home made items and local produce. The town centre is 10 minutes away by foot.

This, remember, is a hotel where the rooms rates are around €70 per night for 2 including breakfast so don't expect a hair dryer in the room or a mini bar but as great, individual B&B's go, this is right up there. Will definitely be back.

After reading all of the fantastic reviews on here, we stayed here in the Mathurin family room consisting of one double and one queen size beds. The room was so beautiful with fantastic views over the canal. It has a very authentic feel about the whole house with stunning pieces of furniture. I have to agree with everyone who said that Veronique and Bruno are amazing hosts. The homemade yoghurts, jams, breads and cakes were absolutely delicious. I can also highly recommend the hot chocolate if you are not a tea or coffee drinker! The car parking directly across the road is free and feels safe. The walk into town takes about 15 minutes and has a wide variety of restaurants, shops and bars. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again on our travels through Europe as it is so convenient for the crossings back home.

Room Tip: Mathurin family room faces the canal at the front where you can keep an eye on your car. It has a ba...
