From the welcoming glass of orange juice we loved this B&B with its warm and hospital host. We had two rooms - one twin at the back looking over the garden, and one double at the front overlooking the road and river. Both very clean and comfortable. As previous reviewers have mentioned the road at the front is noisy but that didn't spoil our stay. There's free parking across from the house. Lovely breakfast, especially the home-made yogurt and white chocolate and rhubarb cake - yum! The only reason this doesn't get five stars from me is that the twin room only had a curtain separating the ensuite from the bedroom which the two teenagers (who didn't really know each other very well) we took found a bit disconcerting!

Room Tip: Rooms at the rear for a quiet night.

We stayed at this beautiful chambre d'hotes en route to Calais after spending a week further south in France. On such a grey day the street view was a little disappointing, however, once inside the fantastic French character shone out. Very sympathetically and lovingly decorated each room was charming and felt very luxurious. We had the suite and an additional room on the first floor which were both beautiful. Although we only stayed one evening the hosts, Veronique and Bruno, were very welcoming and we enjoyed a fabulous breakfast with homemade jams and yoghurt which was delicious. The B&B is only 10 mins walk to the main square in Saint-Omer and we enjoyed a pleasant evening there despite the rain. I imagine this would be a great little town to visit in better weather. If you are in need of a stopover or want to spend a few days in this part of France then this would be a great choice of accommodation, and at just over 200 Euro for 8 of us (4 adults, 4 children), including breakfast, a real bargain.

What can we say? We agree with all the other reviews, this B&B is the tops! Our stay was during a very hot period but the room was cool and airy. Our room overlooked the lovely back garden, it was very quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. It's the ideal place to stay for an overnight stop on the way to the ports.

Stayed in Saint Omer for 2 nights to explore real France, welcomed with Cake and Drinks by Veronique. The property 100 years old has been modernised without compromising its history. This approach really works. You feel you are in a French home rather than a B & B.

Good nights sleep in a comfortable bed, large room with 2 double beds at front of house.Bathroom spacious with Microwave,Fridge and Kettle. This all seemed to be 3 X size of Hotel Room.

No issues Parking, safe area, free wi-fi, 10 mins to town walking.

Breakfast First Class with home made yoghurt good to see variant between croissants / baguettes / buns /Strawberries over the two Mornings.

Our hosts helpfull on ideas what to do over our time here, cannot fault.

Room Tip: All rooms have great features let Veronique suggest best one

We Stayex here for the second time for 2 nights' excellent place to stay about 40 minutes from the Tunnel We were made to feel at home with a welcome beer at the end of our journey. the rooms are spacious and clean as is the bathroom.' Beds are really comfortable We had a fridge and a microwave in our room, great if you are doing a weekend shop. The breakfast here is very good with homemade jams, youghurt and cake along with croissant etc.. Excellent . Thank you Veronique and Bruno for providing such a lovely bed and breakfast. Parking is just across the road and is free. The town centre is about 10 minutes walk and has a good selection of restaurants.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quieter although the canal side road is not too busy there will be cars passin...

This was our second visit to Veronique and Bruno's home and we were made to feel so very welcome. Our room was large and airy overlooking the canal - very quiet at night and full of Veronique's treasures. Our breakfasts were delicious and eaten looking out at the loveliest secret garden. Why would anyone want to stay in a chain hotel - they don't stand on the step and wave you goodbye!
