Beautiful, well-equipped apartment in excellent, central location. Lovely outside terraced area.Owners very helpful and friendly. St Omer really worth visiting and provides a great base for exploring the area. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

A fantastic week: great property in a fab town. The house is very spacious, clean, tidy and well-equipped. Fast wifi connection kept our two teenagers happy and you wouldn't really notice that there's a shop downstairs. The house is very handy for the town centre and we never had any problem with parking. Excellent value all round.

“Amazing stay in beautiful St Omer and Gitaudo”
Reviewed 20 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Just returned from two weeks staying Gitaudo Rue Le Sergeant St Omer. The accommodation was easy to find and everything that previous reviewers have mentioned. Everything was clean, tidy and comfortable and parking proved no trouble at all. We had a small hiccup with the internet (Wimbledon was on) but Alcide quickly got things going again. We had no noise from downstairs and the street was exceptionally quiet at night. Gitaudo is well placed near the Town Centre and has easy access to shops, restaurants (of which there are many) and the beautiful Public Gardens. St Omer's one-way system takes a little getting used to but once mastered its easy enough. Great holiday and owners were a pleasure to deal with. Can't wait to stay again!

“Very comfortable and in the right place”
Reviewed 24 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

We were met by the owners who explained everything about the cooker, dishwasher and washing machine in perfect english. The apartment was spotlessly clean with three double bedrooms. We were there for 4 nights and could not fault it. It was very comfortable and relaxing. The apartment in situated just down the road from the main square. We will definately be going back.

“Comfortable, light and spacious - a real home from home”

Conveniently located in the centre of St Omer, this first and second-floor apartment was a delightful quiet, calm retreat to return to after a busy day. It's in an unusual J-shape, the first floor rooms around the open but sheltered courtyard where you can dine al fresco or dry towels. The two first-floor bedrooms are spacious and the beds very comfortable. The kitchen is well-equipped and as there were just the two of us staying, we ate at the table there. The lounge is also large, its big windows making it light and airy, a very comfortable place to relax.
We didn't experience any problem with toilet being separate from the shower-room, which is accessed through the kitchen. This arrangement has the advantage of allowing one person to use the toilet while the other is having a shower.
We liked the shower-room particularly because it has good cupboard space for toiletries.

“Spacious apartment, great location”

The owners of the apartment were friendly and helpful. They arranged to meet us on arrival and also prior to departure. We had all the information we needed in case we needed to contact them. We booked and paid for everything using trip advisor.

The apartment is a first floor apartment in the centre of town but its actually very quiet and private when inside. The rooms are large and airy and the central patio has windows all round, allowing loads of light and air into the apartment. The rooms were very clean and all the facilities was very clean. The beds were well made and linen was fresh and crisp. There is plenty of storage space and adequate furnishings to have a large family stay. We stayed with extended family and had three children and three adults, but there was room
for possibly a couple more people.

The apartment comes with a dishwasher, fully functional oven and hob, microwave, washing machine, coffee machines, good size fridge freezer and plenty of kitchen implements. In that respect it was just as good as being at home. There was a free wi-fi connection with a very good signal and speed (good enough for demanding users).

The patio is very handy for having breakfast or dinner on a warm day and we certainly enjoyed having breakfast on the patio on one of the days. It also gave the children extra space for running around when we were in.

The apartment is centrally located on the doorstep of a charming high street with loads of shops, restaurants, and eateries. It was within walking distance of the main sights in the town such as the Jardin Public, and the Notre dame St Omer. The rail station was also close by. The main square has a huge market every Saturday.

There is free parking all day on Rue le Sergeant and when this street is full during busy times there is cheap pay and display parking on Rue de Dunkerque. Parking on Rue de Dunkerque is free between 12pm and 2pm , and also between 6pm and 9am. We always managed to park freely with 2 cars in the less busy periods.

A slight quirk in this apartment is the shower room which is adjoining the kitchen, so you have to make your way from the toilet through to the kitchen to get to the bathroom and wash your hands because the toilet has no wash basin. However, the cost of the apartment is such good value that this is a very minor distraction.

All round a wonderful stay.
