We stayed here for two nights, a family of 3 adults and 3 children under 7 years old. We were split between two bedrooms a corridor length apart. The bedrooms were fine however there was a lot of running backwards and forwards between mum & dad's room and our room which must have been noisy for other guests. Each room (14 & 20) had a single and a double bed - the rooms were very clean, slightly faded decoratively speaking but comfortable (good mattresses, extra pillows & blankets) and although no tv remote was provided (?) I am sure it would have been made available had we asked our stern hotelier! The hotel was locked up from 9pm and any guest wishing to enter after this time had to enter a code into a side door at the rear of the hotel and then climb a fire escape to get to your room. On our last night we had to utilise this customer friendless strategy and therefore carry a sleeping child in a pushchair and marshal 2 sleepy toddlers up the outside staircase - under the watchful but completely unconcerned eyes of the hotelier who was sluicing out the bar. All in all if you are prepared to be self sufficient then your £70 a night is well spent however if you like a small amount of customer service thrown in then try somewhere else! The hotel is always closed between 11am and 4pm so if you leave your car in the very secure hotel car park over this period then you will be charged 9 euros per day.

This is a family run 'Logis de France' hotel, originally a coaching inn. We were given a quiet but friendly welcome, and enjoyed a room overlooking the central small garden and courtyard. A wonderfully quiet location, away from the central square and town traffic. Rooms are clean and comfortable, with a good bathroom. It is an easy walk from the hotel to the town centre; St Omer has many independent, quality shops and a wide choice of bars and restaurants. There were some odd touches: after 9 p.m. you had to re-enter via a keypad on a rear door, and breakfast (very average) was served half an hour later than our room brochure stated.
TIP: there's no need to park in the secure car park, as there are quiet side roads, with easy street parking, round the back of the hotel.

On arrival we were greeted without warmth by Madame Laurent, the proprietor. She informed us that as the following day was a bank holiday the bar and restaurant was closed and the hotel would be closed from 21.30h until 07.30h the following morning. To leave/enter the hotel during this period you had to use a keypad on the garage door in the backstreet behind the hotel. It would have been nice to have known this before we booked!!.

The bedrooms in the main hotel building were adequate but very small. The shower over the bath was quite powerful, but the bath, which was quite high, had a curved bottom and was very slippery. There was no anti-slip mat, and was therefore VERY DANGEROUS.

The hotel was rated as 2 star (which was accurate) and was therefore quite expensive at €69

We later discovered from Madame Laurent that her husband had been bedridden for over a month and that she was tired and overworked. I think that this was the reason for our cool reception.

Room Tip: ask for tha annexe, the rooms are more modern

A nice traditional hotel only an hour or so from Calais, which makes it an ideal stop-over. It has it's own small car park, which is secure and locked over night. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff are friendly and very welcoming. It is in a good location for the centre of St Omer, which has plenty of bars/restaurants should you choose not to eat in the hotel itself. Breakfast consisted of self-service continental buffet. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

We have stayed here on and off for years. The Hotel is very basic with small beds (but ok) but the main reason is we don't have to unload the car. The car park is safe and secure and locked at night. Dinner was excellent with foie gras pate and veal with potatoes au gratin.

Room Tip: All basic some more modern but you can't open a window only the full door
