Stayed for 4 nights to explore the area. On the main road in to town but our room was away from the road so no traffic noise. Room clean, shower excellent and love the fact that the toilet is separate from the shower. Free WiFi and air con much appreciated. Breakfast fine - bread, croissants, etc (only chocolate cereals) but you can make a decent cup of tea to start the day. 10 minute walk to town uphill. Staff helpful and efficient (our light was flickering - reported it as we went out in the morning and it was fixed when we got back).
Great town, with a huge cathederal, saturday market, and loads of cafe/restuarants,stayed at the Ibis Budget-overall very good,check-in was a bit hit and miss, but all staff were very nice.Great value with free parking and the breakfast (Continental-which my three carnivore lads were dreading!) was a great hit-hot chocolates all round!
Stayed here on way back to UK prior to Calais to Dover crossing. It is what it is, a budget room with basic facilities. We had to change our room as the first one didn't smell too good and the toilet didn't flush properly, the staff didn't think this was a problem so do check first and if necessary insist. Location isn't too bad and the car park is secured between 11pm and 6am. If you're not fussed over comfort then its "ok", but the proper Ibis in the town centre is much better.
Literally a 5-10 minute walk to the Centre of town. Many big supermarkets within a 5 minute drive which is great for stocking up on French wares as well as cheap fuel. The room itself was fantastically clean and exactly what you expect from this good budget line of hotels. Great free in room wifi as well. Would definitely stay again.
