We were very positively surprised by the apartment as everything was so much nicer and much more spacious than the photos suggest. The terrace was a huge boon as it was like an extra room and the well equipped kitchen made feeding a family with small children very simple. Having a pool plus easy access to the sea gave us lots of options. It was obvious that we were visiting another family's holiday home. The only improvement that I could suggest was a little more detail for the directions as Les Issambres is both a village and a district so it is easy to get lost without specific landmark references.

Our holiday (me, my husband and another couple) in this apartment was absolutely wonderful. There are two bedrooms with a double-bed, a fully equipped kitchen, large living-room and a balcony with garden furniture where we enjoyed our dinners. There is everything you may imagine you could need, such as linen, small towels, large towels, large beach basket, playing cards, sewing kit, TV set, DVDs, iron, clotheshorse, vacuum-cleaner, enough dishes and utensils for six people, information brochures and so on and so on. There really was not anything missing. Needless to say, everything was perfectly clean.

The area is very quiet. You can park your car right in front of the house. The pool is approx. 200m far from the apartment and is shared with other apartments, but we really did not go there as it was rather small. As opposed to the beaches, especially close to St. Maxime - they were sandy and large but not overcrowded at all. There was also an offer of many water-sports, such as water skiing or jet ski. The beaches were very suitable even for small children. Not far away from Les Issambres, there is a theme park and aquapark and other entertainment.

There were just two minor flaws I can think about. First, I cannot imagine the stay without a car. It takes around 15 minutes walking to the nearest beach/grocery/etc. and with children it might be little bit difficult. Car is also great for exploring the area and for getting to the nicest beaches (approx. 15km far). Second, the local contact of the owner does not speak English and when we got lost by our arrival and could not find the apartment, she was not able to help us. On the other hand, when I called the owner to the UK, they did everything to help us find the right way and even checked later to be sure we safely arrived which was very nice.

The whole communication with the owner was absolutely smooth and troubleless and as I said, they were extremely helpful to us. Not being able to find a way to the apartment was our first and only drawback of the amazing week in France. We would definitely come back any time.
