Fantastic little restaurant with superb service: the female MD was excellent - spoke vaguely passable English and unlike a lot of French seemed happy(willing, even) to do so. The food was awesome. On the wine front, they had run out of the recommended white so suggested a replacement. Due to its higher cost we were upgraded on our red wine selection for no additional cost, so we had the best of both worlds.
I had a mushroom on a bed of pasta with truffle oil as a starter and it was excellent. I had duck parmentier as a main, which didn't wow me as much as the starter, but was still very good. I was with 8 friends and not one of them had anything other than good words to say.

One of the best restaurants in Avoriaz. This restaurant also provides great deserts.
The jazz band and singer were good too.
Not the cheapest though....

We went there twice for lunch while on holidays. Both experience were good ones. Service was good/friendly, the choice isn't massive, but it's enough to find something you like and a sign of a good/fresh product. The wine list is expensive if you go for big labels, but local red/white are totally acceptable and very good. Boudin Noir with Pommes was absolutely amazing as well as their Potee Savoyarde. I would just ask bigger portion for la potee, and maybe bit warmer dish next time. All in all a good adress for lunch.

We decided to go for that "extra special lunch". The pricey and limited menu didn't put us off. What did was the rude, ignorant and ill mannered staff and management. A unique experience for us; we paid for our drinks, made our feelings known and walked out, very unhappy customers.
