I've been staying at club med for 2 weeks, my stay was excellent, the food always delicious, the room and the staff of housekeeping always very attentive, ski lessons were great, but undoubtedly the best was the incredible staff that makes you feel at home and have a great time.
I would to thanks Johnny chef de village by this lifetime experience, and one of the best vocations that I ever had.

I stayed here last week in a group of ten. This is a larger hotel in the wonderful Avoriaz with excellent access to the slope - ski in ski out - what a bonus!
We really had no need to spend a penny more than the holiday cost - there are not hidden extras! As a group we ate and drank far more than was good for us - a choice of red white and rose at the table and pretty much whatever you fancy in the bar including cocktails. The food was good - varied and hearty.
A choice of levels of ski instruction if you wanted to do this - again included - friendly instructors with high levels of English.
The rooms aren't huge, but they are quite big enough.
Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and endlessly cheerful! There was entertainment in the bar in the evenings - dancing and some cheesy games, but no pressure to join in if you didn't want to.
There is a photographer who goes out and takes photos on the slopes of the groups which was a lovely touch - photos were 10 euros each.so not a bad price.
This is a fun and happy place to stay! I would be very happy to go again...to say the least!

Room Tip: I was on the 6th floor and had a great view of the slopes - quiet.

I´ve been skiing at Club Med Avoriaz lest week.
I was really surprised with the commitment and professional skills of the personnel envolved with my reception, meals, ski, and shows. Johnny, the chief of the village, was always with us, during breakfast, luch and dinner. Very good guy. Very friendly and a good star.
My sugestion: go and visit Club Med Avoriaz.

Room Tip: Get a room facing the mountains, not the ski lifts (back face)

Food was very good considering the price of the holiday. Took us a while to find the lift from the restaurant as it was a bit out of the way. The only major niggle was that they randomly switched our rooming arrangements before we got there & we had to move everyone's luggage. Saying that it was just a minor blip in what was generally a superb holiday! The staff were brilliant! Very attentive & friendly. Rooms were kept very clean. Going back next year which is as good a recommendation as I can give so just a word to the hotel staff, you'll need extra beer again!

Let me start off by saying that this Club Med is quite basic. If you are looking for a pampering hote in terms of spa, pool, spacious rooms - this might not be the place for you.

But if you are looking for great energy, an amazing staff, a funky 70's vibe and the best ski resort EVER - this is where you want to go.

Rooms are small and somewhat outdated (as are the public spaces) but very clean. Showers were recently renovated.
Connecting doors available for families.

Food is like any Club Med - very good and too much of it...
As the whole village is built on tbe side of a mountain, this Club is too - which means lots of stairs in all the public areas, but also incredible views from every window.

We usually like to try a new Club Med and ski resort every year, but we shall definately be returning here next year.

I was in Avoriaz in 1984 - No change (maybe only new shower) . The building looks old with damages from the outside, old smelly carpets inside, need to clime 2.5 floors from/to the rstaurant (no lift there), very crowded room (& we paid & had a bigger room). Wi fi doesnt work in room, old metal keys (for room, for locker & for safe). Dont take me wrong - the service and team were OK, but the facility is way pasrt its time.

I agree with Silke T and John N.
GO team was very kind and the animation was indeed excellent. Special thanks to William (what a beautiful smile), Romain for the picture, Tino who put the chains on the car for us and Fanny for her kindness. The shows are very creative and original, lots of crazy signs.
Food was indeed limited in choice but quality was usually good. Not enough quantity. I missed several deserts because I was too late.
Room was small but we know that in advance. It was very clean. We discovered the large drawers under the bed after several days.
The bar is indeed too small and understaffed. Why give so small quantities when it is all inclusive anyway? I could barely taste alcohol in my mojito. There were not enough seats and the tables were not always clean.
We had a great time thanks to the nice staff (including restaurant staff and cleaning lady) but, as Silke T rightly says, there is room to improve the hotel to make it even better.
