Was here for a skiing holiday. The apartments are conveniently located very close to the top station of the funicular from Bourg and the Mont Blanc disengage chair. It is also possible to ski back very close to the building. The apartments are reasonably modern and much larger than older buildings. All seem to have pleasant balconies with reasonable views west down the valley. Equipment levels are fair although comfortable seating is somewhat lacking e.g. One settee for an apartment for up to ten with the only other alternative dining chairs and stools.

English is supposedly spoken and they try but generally pretty poor. The expected free Wifi is far from free even in reception. Apartments can get cold at night with all the glass they have but heating can cope.

There seemed to be plentiful hot water which did not run out. While it is not too far to the shops in the resort bread and croissants can be ordered for the morning at the building reception. There is a reasonable indoor swimming pool etc.

Take care with the under ground parking as the headroom is only about 2.1m so a large SUV with a Roofbox etc would be struggling.

Just returned from Roc Belle Face and wanted to let everyone know what a geat holiday we've had. We booked at very short notice so didn't have the chance to look at any reviews before going. Now I'm very pleased we didn't have time to read them because it might have put us off and that would have been a big mistake. The apartment could sleep 6 and was really modern and clean and in a fantastic location - genuine ski-in, ski-out. The "Paradiski" area was vast with fantastic skiing as well as a "snow park" with jumps and rails for the more adventurous skier and boarder, the altitude meant lots of snow cover too. We drove and the underground parking was a real plus as there was losts of snow fall that would have meant digging the car out at the end of the week otherwise. We are thinking of booking again for next year and maybe using the "Snow- Train" to Bourge-st-Maurice, then coming up the mountain on the "finicular" which litrally stops outside the reception so really convienient as are the free buses to the other Arc locations which stop next to the fanicular.

Our apartment was on level 4 at the front of the building and was accessed just by one lift from the ground floor so we did not experience any of the problems I've just read about with apartments on the upper levels, equally there was no issues with hot water despite the building being full over the New Year.

We did hear some people complaining about the reception staff but we rented our apartment directly from the owner so our only contact with them was to book our nightly free sauna and to buy bread each morning which was really convienient.

I perhaps shouldn't say this because we may not get the week we want next year but renting the apartment directly also meant we paid a lot less than I've seen this resort advertised since by tour operators.

Room Tip: Try To get an apartment on the lower levels

The wide spread of Trip Advisor ratings for this place tell a story. Your experience is perhaps dependent on your room allocation. Do you want to leave it to that sort of chance?

First thing to say is that the actual instructions on arrival are rather poor. The layout is obvious once you are settled in but on arrival the entrance is on the level of the Funicular railway and there is no car access. Not obvious.

Stieglitz 69 below was on the 14th floor and so were we. Which gave the following (I suspect similar) issues.
    1. After a days skiing you a) get a lift from a dingy place which would not be out of place on a sink estate b) get the (small, claustrophobic) lift (one of two) to the 5th floor. Walk with all your gear the length of the building c) get another (small, claustrophobic) lift (one of two) to the 13th floor. c) walk the length of that building to the ski lockers d) put your gear away and walk back the length of the building and get the lift or walk up to the 14th floor.
    2. So after all that you want a nice bath. But up on the 14th floor the water pressure is low, so the hot water flow is pathetic except when the building is full when the water runs out completely !!! Not only no hot water, but NO water at all coming out of the hot tap, and this was a known problem! In a 4* rated apartment block. Absolutely inexcusable.

And of course all the lifts mean big queues on arrival day. And in over 12 holidays, this is the only one which would not budge on letting you in to your apartment if you arrived early, which of course exacerbates the lift queues when everyone checks in at roughly the same time.

The kitchen corner had all the applicances but had no draining board or work top and nearly all the cupboard space was above head height above the applicances. So it was impossible for two people to do chores at the same time without getting in the way of each other and preparing meals required the same dexterity as you need in a small mountain tent. Unacceptable.

There were no comfy chairs at all and the beds were questionably comfortable.
The lighting is incredibly dim - they only seem to use old fashioned 40W lightbulbs. The kitchen corner has no light at all worthy of the name after dark.
The bathroom sink was blocked. This was repaired but then we discovered the sink plug would not seal. There was a shower screen but no fitment for a shower at head height.
After a while you just give up.

By way of balance, the apartment was spacious and to an otherwise good standard of decor and fittings, and the views from the big balcony were excellent.

A great pity when with only a little more effort a much better experience could be had, but perhaps that is beyond Lagrange's capability.

Our little two star Logis hotel on the way home had a lovely bathroom with fast flowing hot water and a proper shower - it was such a nice change!

Room Tip: Make your booking contractually conditional on getting a room no higher than level 5

We stayed here in August for a mountain bike holiday and had a fantastic time. Apartment was very clean and modern, and had everything we needed. We were a family of 3 and stayed in a 1 bed apartment. Our son slept in the bedroom and we had the sofa bed in the living room which was very comfortable. We rang ahead to get the code for the underground parking and staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay and most spoke good english. We used the bakery service each morning from reception. Our apartment was on the top floor but no issues with lifts, and truly amazing views. There was also a laundry room which was ideal.
Great weather and apartment ideal for the Cachette chair lift which gives access to the downhill course and the higher walking trails. There were several restaurants, supermarket, bakery, pizza takeaway, bars etc all open in 1600 and lots going on.
Right outside the apartments is the black downhill run to Bourg St Maurice, and then you can take the Funiculaire back up to 1600. We also drove to Val D’Isere for the day to watch the Mountain Bike World Cup.
The pool in the apartments is quite small, but fine for a quick dip, and Jacuzzi / sauna etc nice. We discovered the huge swimming pool centre in Bourg which has 2 outdoor and 2 indoor pools all heated, and sunbeds / picnic area and very cheap to get in. Perfect with children.
Ideal family resort, apartments very close to the lifts, and easy access to the rest of Paradaski and main town of Bourg. We plan to visit for ski trip this winter.

Room Tip: One tip – the 1 bed apartment was fine for us and would be great for a couple, but a family of 4 may prefer a larger 2 bed apartment for extra space.

We have been back to this place in summer and winter and had 2 different apartments. The main reasons we return have been good transport access, the good quality and size of the modern apartments, a good high level of equipment and good value considering that the two main ski lifts are right outside the door and this is Ski in Ski out access to the whole Paradiski Area. We have young kids and find the transport access is also perfect given that Bourg St Maurice is a transport hub for the Alps and these apartments are a stones throw from the top of the 7 minute funiculair ride up from Bourg train and bus station.

The apartments are bright and new, well maintained and feel modern. There is code access on the lifts for guests, WiFI in reception, a small but nice swimming pool, two saunas, two steamrooms, bread and patisserie ordering for breakfast, underground parking ( we drove in winter and this was great as we did not have to dig the car out of snow).

The great thing here if you are self catering and not eating out is that the main town of Bourg is only 7 minutes down the mountain, so you have access to a choice of real supermarkets at normal prices.

The best thing of all in my mind is the view - huge and awesome. We have just returned from a two week family holiday in a 3/8X apartment- there was plenty of room to sleep 6 without having to use the sofa bed in the living room. We plan to rebook for winter.

Staff- we phoned ahead as we were arriving late- they arranged to leave keys and gave us the access codes and were generally helpful, though some were better at speaking English than others when our French struggled.

Room Tip: C block is high up and has better views down the valley
