“Best restaurant in La Plagne”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 March 2013 via mobile

Fantastic welcome. Varied menu with good non Savoie options. The gallettes
are delightful. Good value vin du patron and a great place for lunch and, after a short walk, a super place for dinner. The coffee and vin chaud make it a good stop during skiing. And you can tell it is good because the pisteurs are regular clientele.
Don't miss this great little place with fantastic views of Mont Blanc. Just above Plagne 1800. Alain and Katie are superb hosts and make every visit very special. Try Alain's new cocktail - la clochette, a great aperitif.

“Value on the slopes”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 June 2012

Friendly chalet under new ownership last season, very very welcoming, a fun place to drop in for a drink or lunch. Reasonably priced compared with other french ski resort prices

“Don't ski past here...... stop for a drink at the very least”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 February 2012

We visited this little resturant three times in the week that we stayed in Plagne 1800 in January 2012 and totally loved it. It is ideally placed for a last drink on the way home to 1800 from a days skiiing. It can be reached on the blue Lovatiere Piste that you can join either at Aime Plagne or Plagne Centre. You can also walk to it on the snowy path that starts just below the biomass plant on the road from Plagne Centre down to Plagne 1800 (it takes less than 10 mins to walk form the road). There are lovely views of Mont Blanc at sunset from just outside the resturant as you put your skis back on for the last 200m or so of piste. The owners are both very very friendly and accommodating. We went for dinner one night and had the best meal that we had in the week. The main course was a sizzling hot plate and three different types of meat that come to your table raw and you cook them to your liking. It came with salad and sauces and a huge bowl of chips. The rest of the meal was also lovely. There were a couple of complimentary drinks thrown in too. The lift home on the owners skidoo totally made our evening. It is a good idea to call in or ring them to make a reservation for dinner. There was a 10 euro plat du jour available at lunch but unfortunately we did not get round to trying it. We would totally recommend this place for a drink or meal - when you see it on your right as you ski down Lovatiere don't ski past - stop for while it'll be worth it. ; )
