Powder N Shine Flocon des Neiges
Reviewed 21 February 2012

First class from start to finish. It would be great to keep this 'find' secret, but also extremely selfish given the hard work and subsequent fantastic holiday created by the Powdernshine team. Thank you so much, Francesca, Emily and Richard. We were looked after incredibly well from our initial e mail until the minute we began our return journey home. The food was absolutely delicious, as was the wine! Rooms were warm and attractive with enough space. The team were very attentive yet created an atmosphere that was both relaxed and welcoming. There isn't a single thing I would suggest changing; can't wait to come back. On the team's night off we ate at Ferme de Reberty; lovely food, but massive portions on the starters, so be warned!! Oh and the actual ski area is also worth going for with the slopes easily accessible from the chalet. A massive ski area with slopes to suit all abilities. The 'non skiers' in our group enjoyed some lovely walks, making good use of the free bus service.

Often over used but this time “awesome” is appropriately accurate as our extended family of 18 had probably one of our best ski holidays ever – 21st to 28th January 2012. We would definitely award medals for accommodation, food, service, friendliness and professionalism. The whole of our occasionally eclectic and usually boisterous group (ages 10 to 68) were as one in their praise of our hosts Francesca, Emily and Richard. The snow was great and the skies generally sunny and blue although an extra 4cm covering on departure day was frustrating for our boarders especially. This was our first visit to Reberty/Les Menuires but it’s unlikely to be the last and a bonus was that the two elders of our group found plenty of non-ski activities – “Roc N Bob” toboggan piste, plenty of cross country ski track and walks and even dog sledding. I have no doubt we will all relive this holiday through our photos for sometime ! Thanks again Fran and team.

Room Tip: Top floor rooms suffer from slightly less headroom. Not a problem for us but room 4 has sitting room...

Powder - was amazing - bright blue skies and sunshine and a big dump of snow as we left

& Shine - The service definitely shone above any chalet ive stayed in before - defo the best chalet food/canapes i've ever experienced and Rich and Emily were great hosts, very attentive and as everyone seems to have said "nothing was any trouble" ,all bedrooms were lovely and very welcoming and very clean, the loft bedrooms are very cosy but theres not much space for tall men to stand (so i wld mention that if you are tall to say you want the bedrooms on first -2nd floor) - The views from loft room are lovely..hot tub and sauna are a big plus and the fact that you can literally ski right up to the front door is amazing!!

La Ferme restaurant is the only place to go in Reberty and does lovely food and drinks, they are also happy to stay open late and open to playing your ipods!! - about a 10 sec walk from the chalet - all in all a bloody fantastic week - thanks so much Fran, Rich and Emily!!

Room Tip: the loft bedrooms are very cosy but theres not much space for tall men to stand (so i wld mention th...

This is a real dilema as I want to shout about this to everyone BUT on the other hand I'd rather keep it quiet ........Francesca, Steve and their teams have created a truly fabulous holiday experience. They made the booking process seamless and our stay effortless, nothing was too much trouble and they worked continuously to ensure our stay was the best ski holiday any of us have ever had. Thank you and we wish you tons of Luck for the future.

Room Tip: All rooms are good but rooms on the first floor have more head height

Fantastic chalet experience that coincided with possibly the best ever ski conditions made our week fantastic. The food and wine emphasis on the website swung the booking and you certainly get what's advertised! Excellent meals every night that came out on time. Rich and Emily were excellent hosts - other operators could learn a lot from their approach! We were looked after incredibly well and made to feel at home and welcome. I knew we were onto a good thing when I found two pillows on the bed, neither of which was like a bag of tennis balls! Rich took us out skiing (at a flying pace) for a couple of days so we could see most of the area without faffing about with the map. As there was so much snow, if the garage door was open, you really could ski straight into the chalet!

Francesca and Steve are very hands on and this pays off as they clearly care about their business and the experience of their guests. This is the kind of holiday you hope to have yet never really expect - fantastic work and I hope there's enough space for all the happy punters next season!

We stayed here over Christmas and had a fabulous time! Steve, Francesca, Brendan and Tiffany gave us such a wonderful welcome and this continued for the whole week. The food far exceeded our expectations and the chalet was clean and had a lovely atmosphere with a log fire burning. We felt so pampered all the time, but just at the right level. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The view from the chalet was fantastic as well. We would recommend staying at this chalet and would be more than happy to go again!

It has taken me over 20 years of ski holidays to find would I would describe as the the best indepant ski company out there. The chalet was impeccably clean and very homely, with the log fire was always burning. With fantastic snow and right on the piste you really could not ask for more. However if you still need more then the sauna and tub would is a gift that just keeps giving.
The dedicated staff are not your usual teenagers looking for a quick buck and are so helpful friendly and could not do enough to help.
I am saddened to say that eventually the slopes lost my interest due to the sumptous cakes and 4 course dinners were always calling and would rival and top restaurant.

Having never written a review I am cautious that I may not be able to book next year due to demand.
