Powder N Shine Flocon des Neiges

What can we say, again a brilliant stay with delicious food and great company. Introduced some new friends to this lovely chalet this year and they all loved it. Snow was excellent, the sun shone...it really was Powdernshine...Slopes are a minutes walk away and the local restaurants serve very tasty food at reasonable prices.....if you have never tried a chalet holiday or even if you have experienced many others, this one a definite must do, thanks again Francesca

I had a great time at this chalet. Its about a 1 min walk to the slope in a quiet village at 2000m. The ski hire place is 2 doors down, ski pass place & supermarket just round the corner (1 min), and there's a couple of bars/restaurants on the edge of the slope. The chalet has a traditional feel (vs contemporary), and really stands out because of the staff/service.

Pros:
- the quality of the food is supreme! This is the best chalet food I have ever had by a long way, and surprisingly some of the most tasty meals I've ever had. Compliments to the chef Matt, who managed to pack so much flavour into every bit of the meal. Freshly baked croissants and cooked breakfasts available in the morning, amazing cake waiting in the afternoon, and Champagne was served with the canapés every night, plus a selection of fine wines (which actually taste nice), with the meal, followed by a cheese board.
- the service from the chalet staff is excellent. Ethan and Heather were quick to learn names, and paid attention to the detail. They were pleasant to chat to, very polite, and got involved with some bant. They rose to the challenge of making apple carvings to accompany the cheese board, and even added a bit of mystery to the week by moving the teddy bears around and creating towel sculptures!
- the extras. Bath robe, toiletries, hot tub, sauna, making the beds each day, providing towels with a change mid-week, free wifi, slippers, south facing balcony, etc all make the experience that little bit nicer after a day on the slopes. If you have any issues, the staff will find a way to help.

Cons:
- Reberty 2000 is a quiet village. Apres-ski is at least a bus ride away.
- Various people commented that the bedrooms in the chalet were a little small. We had a family room (2+2), and we struggled to fit 2 adults in. No idea how a family of four can actually fit in for a week.

Overall, I had a great week, and would certainly go back.

This is a pleasant chalet situated in Reberty village and just a stones throw from a blue piste [Boyes] which leads down to two of the main lifts - fast chair and telecabine - which whisk you up the mountain. The chalet is arranged over 4 floors with sauna, hot tub and ski/boot room at ground floor, dining room plus large sitting area and bedrooms on the 1st floor and then bedrooms on the upper floors.
Flocon des Neige is almost ski in/out but as the walk to the piste is short and almost flat it is not a problem.
Views from the large picture windows in the dining-seating area are good and look out over the adjoining pistes and mountains. There are plenty of comfy sofas in the sitting area where aperitifs and canapes are served before dinner each evening.
All the food we had was of excellent quality and generally sourced locally by the in-house chef. The staff were efficient and quietly attentive to any need you may have or even think you have!
All the rooms are en-suite and hot water is plentiful [at any time of the day]
The temperature in the chalet was always just right and for light sleepers there is no noise to disturb you.
All in all a lovely week for our party of 7

Room Tip: Top floor has less head room

As returning guests of powder n shine, we already knew to expect a great holiday. Once again attentive service from the chalet staff Matt, Ethan and Heather, backed up by the attention to detail provided by Francesca and Steve just make the whole holiday so much more enjoyable. Even white out / foggy conditions don't feel so bad! Can't wait to return

We stayed in the Flocon des Neiges during the last week in Jan and can't recommend it highly enough. The chalet is fairly average alpine chalet design, however what gives it the edge are:
1) The location - at 2000m and if your careful you can ski to the actual door (daughters did) but a max of about 50m walk
2) The staff - all went that extra mile to help out with anything needed or any problems, and where really friendly and great fun to stay with.
3) The food - Yum, yum & yum. Need I say more? Matt the chef excelled every night from canapés through to cheese course, and there was not a single complaint. He even converted a couple in our party to dishes they would never even usual try, and they confessed to liking them!
All the other little extras like how clean the place was kept, free toiletries, bath robes, slippers etc. added to the experience, and not forgetting the hot-tub and sauna which were well and truly used after a day on the piste.
The only criticism I heard from anyone (not us) were some rooms were a little small (well it is a chalet not a penthouse suite, and ours were fine) and that Reberty is quiet, again not a problem if you know where your going and have researched. It has a bar, restaurant and pizza place as well as a couple of small shops, what more do you need?
Overall I would 100% recommend the company and the chalet without hesitation to anybody other than people who are only after apres-ski. If you want great skiing, great accommodation and lovely staff this is the place for you.

Thanks Steve, Francesca, Matt, Ethan & Becky I'm sure we'll be back :-)

I have spent the last week in chalet Chamois which proved to be a fabulous experience. The hosts, George and Jess - nothing was to much for them and the attention to detail was first class. Tom, the chef prepared delicious cuisine which looked as good as it tasted. The chalet is literally ski in ski out. All 3 chalets are within a stones throw of each other so location is perfect and the uplift to the 3 valleys is immediate. Fran and Steve's organisation is exemplary and very special as it covers every detail regarding your stay. They succeed in making each day the best you can have in the mountains. I would recommend the Powder and Shine experience to anyone that appreciates the good things in life.

Room Tip: All rooms were good - ask for a jacuzzi bath - it was fabulous after a hard days skiing.

I have now been six times to Powder'n'Shine's chalets. I have been to other reorts, and even other places in the 3V. Those other places compare very poorly: I am constantly reminded of how clumsy, impersonal (and less delicious) other 'luxury' chalets can be.

Steve and Fran's chalets are immaculate, the staff friendly, intelligent and knowledgeable. The food is exceptional. They genuinely care about whether their guests are having a good time.

I cannot recommend them highly enough - whether for family skiing, skiing alone or otherwise.

Would not go anywhere else.
