Le Galeta is a gem of a find focusing on specialties of the Savoyardes . Recommended by the owners of the wonderful hotel we stayed in, Le Regina, we savored every course presented at Le Galeta with great pleasure. The salads were fresh, local greens adorned with shaved local cheese, escargot, and other delightful surprises. I grilled sliced beef and chicken at the table and ate my raclette made with garone cheese and sliced potatoes slowly in order to savor every bite. My husband and I both had dessert Chantilly with raspberries or with nuts. It was our anniversary, so dessert was served with a flourish. The wine offerings were excellent, and the wait service by a woman of vast energy, tops. This restaurant is tucked behind shops so ask for directions to get there. Not difficult to find, but not where you might expect a restaurant.
