Owner description: Located on the Costa del Sol, has proven itself as being one of the top marinas in the world. With many restaurants, shopping, attractions and nightlife. It has won the award "Best Marina in the World' several times. The Marina of Benalmadena officially opened in 1979, with the name "Port au Prince" but in1982 was named Puerto Marina Benalmadena. The thing that really stands out about the marina is its unique architecture/design, which has lead to its international recognition especially with our European tourists. Puerto Marina has a huge capacity to moor boats and yachts, with just over 1,000 moorings for boats from many different nationalities.  'Puerto Marina' is one of the Costa del Sol's busiest centres. There are loads of different shops including the shopping centre. On top of it all there is a large choice of quality restaurants. You are spoiled for choice. Fancy a drink or a dance? Or how about hitting a nightclub or pub? With well over 20 establishments, you will have difficultly to decide. Puerto Marina Benalmadena entails a big chunk of the town of Benalmadena and is a true touristic destination. There is also the  Harbour Master, hotels, and the beautiful promenade that leads to Puerto Marina Benalmadena Yacht Club. Plus, residential areas of luxury and an aquarium among other activities making it a destination for leisure tourism for the Med and it's beaches!!

“attractive feature”

probably the most attractive looking feature in the promenade area of benalmedina, very showy.
under the surface not much going on, grossly overpriced ice cream, and drinks.
very little to do other than walk around watching others walking around, all of you wondering if this is all there is to do in benalmedina.

Nice for a visit with lots to do and eat in one of the many restaurants or bars. A good selection of shops are also available.

Lots of quaint shops and little bars and restaurants all located with views of the harbour - see sailing boats to huge'house' boats. Dont miss the IceBar -Byy day with a family its fun - 5Euro for child and 10Eur for adults = 2 cocktails and a shot and fun in the ICE bar wrapped in a rug listning to Frozen!

“lovely yachts”
Reviewed 14 August 2014

the restaurants and shops here were brilliant. Also had a short boat trip(half an hour) from here very cheap. It was a bit scary as the sails had to be brought down because of the high winds but was a good laugh.

“Always a pleasure”
Reviewed 13 August 2014 via mobile

This place never disappoints! !
One of our favourite places to visit for the views (gorgeous boats and apartments)
We have coffee some days and ice cream the others, shopping one evening and dinner the next it is all there!!
The marina gets really busy especially weekends but it is worth the visit.

Thank L H
