We stayed with our two girls (aged 18 & 20) self catering for one week, using 2 x 1 bed apartments. The apartments are a reasonable size but it would be a tight squeeze for 4 adults, okay if you have young children. The apartments overall are nice - clean, decently equipped, nicely decorated. There is only 2 rings, a micro-grill, toaster, kettle, fridge with ice box and a limited number of utensils etc - you can manage the basics but do really need to eat out if you want meals. The beds are clean and comfortable and the sofa bed is ok. The apartments have a balcony which is a decent size. The hotel, although busy was not noisy, the clientele was mainly Irish, Brits or Spaniards and mostly couples or families with young children. It is a clean, nicely decorated hotel - definately 4*. The overall facilities are really good - there's a wee shop (pricey), couple of bars, restaurant, indoor and outdoor pools, spa facilities, gym, kids club, launderette, hair/beauty salon and entertainment. The entertainment and activities day and night was really quite good - hard working and enthusiastic staff. Overall, the staff in this hotel are really pleasant and make you feel welcome. The hotel is a bit more expensive than some others in the area, but I would say you get what you pay for. We only ate in twice and both times the food was fine. The entertainment in the Disco Bar was good although it empties around 11, and there were activities every day for adults and kids. In terms of location, it is in a quiet area away from the main tourist areas however this means there's no problems with noise, drunken teens or the street sellers. The one down side is it is up a really steep hill and you might need transport to get to the marina etc. There are however short cuts - via the garage or the back gate which makes the walk do-able if you are reasonably fit and healthy. There are two decent supermarkets nearby, as well as Burger King, a selection of nice wee restaurants (Spanish, Mexican, Indian, Italian and British). The real beauty of this hotel is it is a place you could easily stay in all week and chill out but it is also well located for seeing the rest of the Costa del Sol, buses to Malaga, Fuengirola etc are really regular and really cheap.

Room Tip: Front facing rooms get sun in the morning until lunch time, pool facing rooms get it from the aftern...

Back a week after spending 11 days in this complex. Good clean hotel, plenty of entertainment and activities, staff were always very pleasant and only to willing to help, we could also use the sister hotels that were all situated behind a secure gated entrance (All inclusive didn't stretch to drinks etc in the other hotels but you could bring drinks over with you). Plenty to keep the kids amused ie kids club and other activities throughout the day by the pool. As has already been pointed out on other reviews there is quite a hill up to this hotel but the free shuttle bus that runs up and down between the hotels and gate entrance is great. Our room was a good size (junior guest suite) and the cleaners were in every day. The Hotel water park is good but be aware there is a charge for the hire of rings plus a deposit that is refundable on way out. Food was quite good, certainly no complaints here, there was plenty to chose from for each of the meals, it was always warm and well stocked. The snacks at the pool bar were also good with hot dogs, pizza, burgers chips etc. Kids constantly eating the wee ice cream tubs that were available they loved them these were part of the all inclusive deal. For branded lollies, crisps etc you had to pay these are not on all inclusive but that is usually how it is no matter where you go. The only downside was it is quite a bit out from both Fuengirola and Benalmadena approx 12-15 Euros each way in taxi or there are bus stops not far from the gated entrance to the complex. All in all we had a great holiday (2 adults and 2 kids) and I would certainly recommend this place as a good family destination.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful on arrival, all was sorted out in a matter of minutes. The room was large and clean with a very large balcony which was a plus. You get a separate kitchen with cooker, microwave and fridge - all the utensils are included, even if you are booked in as all inclusive. We opted for a parking space in the underground garage, which was empty and kept the car cool, there is a race to find spaces on the outside so best to be sure of a space. The entrance has security and passes must be displayed on entry even in a taxi. The complex has 3 x hotels and a beach club at the seashore - there is a shuttle bus going between all the hotels every 10 mins, which considering some of the hills is a godsend, this does stop at 6pm though. I would recommend this hotel for both families and couples as there is more than enough space for all.

Room Tip: If you go into Benalmadena in the evening get a bus into the town but get a taxi back so you don'...

Pork chops 11 nights from 14 come on some variety wouldnt go a miss. The 10th birthday was excellent but only because the heirarchy where in attendance. Great hotel no problems there lovely view decent entertainment but middle of knowhere and also quite canny with all inc. Only local tubs of ice cream for kids and some dodgy poolside snacks. All ice lollies slushies crisps cist money. Not really all inc. Check your small print. Good staff particularly maria in la tahona bar and also smiley lady at pool bar. Bea h club excellent but again lots of costs especially if you dont book in advance. I wont go again but each to their own.

The Hotel itself is really nice, plenty of lifts and lovely layout inside, rooms a good size, staff friendly and happy.

Problem is there are very few staff, bars, shop, reception always just one person so always a wait, sometimes quite a wait! cleaning up was very few and far between, again, lack of staff!

Mini disco opened in outside entertainment area but bar doesn't open for an hour after, ridiculous if you have children at the disco as a canny walk back up to main bar.

Food was ok, bit repetitive, lots of stew types. needs more variety.

Worse thing was the entertainment, horrendous! bar one night when a magician was on! other than that it was pathetic! mostly English there however nearly everything in the entertainment side was spoken in Spanish first so we had all drifted off and got bored by the time the English came on.

note that the waterpark is NOT in the hotel complex, it is a shuttle bus ride away then a little walk. We were mislead about the distance.

Water park is fab, shame you have to book to eat there though, you can get drinks on your band but that is it. You cannot use your All Inclusive bands to eat or drink in the other hotels in the holiday world complex!

Over all we had a canny holiday but hotel could be so much better with little changes. I wouldn't go back as it is now.

Stayed from the 22nd to the 29th june 2014. Couple with a 4 years old. I was a bit worried before we left as nothing seemed to be cleared enought on the website. My worry was where was the beach, how far. We went to dominican republic before and I was expecting to be the same just looking at the pictures, but it was not. For all of you wondering about the nice pools with the elephant and ship it is not part of the hotel u have to take a bus to go there, the bus runs from 10 to 18 and its very very often 5 10 min to the push. Same if u want to go to the sea side side. The hotel is on the top of the hill you could walk down and up if u wish but the bus is free and very convenient. The beach club pool were lovely but a bit cold for our son, one is warwish.. the sea side lovely, beautiful sandy beach. We r sea people so for us sea side was lovely, short walk from where the bus stops. All around lovely stay, great shows in the evening, food plenty of choices for everybody, friendly staff shame they dont wear badges with their names so I can send a personal thank you, rooms big with balcony well all around we will be back. Thank you all for the great week

We have just returned from a week at the Palace and found the staff exceptional, the rooms could of done with a little updating but we had a great week. Our grandchildren spent every day at the kids club which was amaZING leaving their parents a few hours to relax. For an all inclusive the food was good always a choice and plenty fruit and salads something for everyone. If we had to make a comment it would be on the sunbeds which didnt go up and are not conmfortable, we also thought the room cleaning could of been improved on, however all in all we had a fab holiday and for parents with young children this hotel is ideal!
