“Lovely hotel”
Reviewed 10 August 2014 via mobile

Just returned from an 11 night stay. The rooms are lovely and clean and a huge bathroom. We had a room on the top floor and had a lovely view of the montains and could also see the sea. My 2 children aged 11 + 12 really enjoyed maxi club and made lots of friends both english and spanish. We never had to fight for sunbeds and could also go down at 2pm and still get a sunbed. We never had to wait for a table at the restuarant as others tended to go down alot later. Overall the hotel is lovely with friendly staff and the waterpark is a very good visit. The only down side was on a very few occassions the food was tepid but this didn't spoil our holiday and would say its a great family holiday.

Thank you for choosing this hotel and thanks for their opinions.

The most important thing for us, is knowing that they have enjoyed their holidays and will return in the future, is very rewarding.

Just came back from a 10 might stay with my husband and a 7 and 3 year old, hotel was great loads of room in the room separate shower and bath and really cool air con. Great thing was the quiet nights because if the location once 12 came everywhere was quiet. I have a fussy daughter and I'm a vegetarian but there was always plenty to choose from at all meal times I particularly liked when they would cook your meat fish pancakes etc fresh another positive was there was never a problem with sunbeds any time of day. One slightly negative comment would be for the water park to be honest I don't think it truly describes the facility my kids were disappointed by the lack of slides and not what they/we expected although for an hour or so break from the pool it did the trick.

Dear Mr. Jonny, thanks for a holiday in our hotel and for commenting on this website.
Thanks for the positive comments on the facilities, food and the pool.

I feel that his son had higher expectations of the Waterpark, therein if I can not help you, sorry...
I hope to see you in a new occasion, carefully.

Just got back from the Holiday Palace in Benalmadena after a fab 10 days. I was slightly panicked before I went as I had read some awful reviews but I have to say it was a lovely hotel. The rooms are really sizeable and cleaned daily with towels changed as often as you require. The pool is lovely and no need to rush for sun beds on a morning as quite a lot of the people here were Spanish and so didn't get up early. You could still get a sun bed at 11am. The beach club at the bottom of the hill was free to all inclusive guests with food and drinks included as long as you book the previous morning with reception. My daughter is 10 and loved the beach club with small water slides, a wave pool and lots of other pools too. Never had a problem getting a sun bed there either even when we went down at 11am. The shuttle bus came every 10 minutes to take u there or pick u up and we never had a problem getting on it. The food was a bit cold sometimes at breakfast and I was quite desperate for some English bacon by the end of it but overall the rest of the meals were lovely, lots of choice for both the restaurants and pool bar. The evening entertainment was a bit dodgy, kids disco at 9.30 followed by some ropey turns but not all were bad. Got the bus to the marina a couple of evenings which is lovely and a taxi back cost around 15 euros. Overall we had a good time and would go back to this hotel.

Room Tip: There are no ground floor rooms and there are 8 lifts so not a problem

We have recently returned from a 10 night stay here and had a brilliant time. We are a family of 4 ( 2 adults and 2 children age 8+4). I had done my research before travelling so knew in advance that we were up a hill and outside of the main resort.
On arrival we were checked in quickly by a very helpful lady and found the reception staff to be approachable and knowledgeable during our stay. Our suite (room 219)was huge and very clean. It was cleaned daily throughout our stay with towels and beds changed regularly.
The pool area of the hotel was lovely and our kids loved spending the whole day around it. The pool doesn't open until mid morning so there was never a rush for sunbeds and a life guard was on duty all day everyday. The pool bar staff were very happy and smiley and the all inclusive snacks (burgers, hotdogs, chips, nuggets, toasties) were constantly replenished.
The shuttle buses run from 10am-6pm daily, the open top bus takes you to the bottom of the hill and the mini bus takes you to the beach. These were a god send as the hill up to the hotel is steep and it was 30 degrees every day!
The beach club is fab and if you are all inclusive you can get all your drinks, ice creams and lunch whilst you are there. Be warned though you need to tell reception on the morning of the day before you want to go that you want lunch there as numbers are limited.
Buses run from the side of the beach club into Benalmadena every 30 minutes and it is €1.55 each way. It takes about 15 minutes to get there and is well worth a visit, the marina is very pretty. I can highly recommend The Drunken Sailor on the beach front if you want a taste of home, it's a British run bar serving Classic British dishes.
Food at the hotel is varied and plentiful. There is always a huge choice of salads, hot dishes and deserts at lunch and dinner and pastries, yogurts and hot items at breakfast. We never had an issue with cold food and as none of us are fussy eaters there was always plenty to choose from.
The animation team in the hotel work tirelessly all day. Throughout the day they run the mini club, maxi club and adults pool side games which everyone can join in with. At night they are there for the evening entertainment. The kids mini disco is from 9.30 each night and became annoying after a while. It was the same songs every night which got stuck in your head!! The entertainment was varied but sometimes a little strange, think Phoenix nights!!! We tended to spend our evenings on the terrace of the bar opposite the restaurant as the kids playground was next to it so we could have a drink whilst watching the kids play.
As has been said before this is not an all English hotel. The majority are Spanish with a few English, Scottish and Dutch.
I was impressed to find that some branded drinks were included in the all inclusive package Bacardi, Smirnoff vodka, Gordon's gin. Sex on the beach and pina colada cocktails were also included.
Overall we were very happy with this hotel. We went and looked in the neighbouring Polynesian and holiday world hotels but found them to be much bigger than ours and felt that might not be a good thing.
If you are an easy going family that know how to enjoy yourself and just want an enjoyable family holiday then this hotel is for you. We will certainly consider returning.

The Hotel is very clean and it is situated in a calm area of Benalmadena. You can easily access the Hotel by the Airport Train C1 to the Carajal Station. From there only 1.3km by feet to the Hotel or you can take a Taxi for around 35 Euro. The food in the Hotel is ok, but it was always cold! :-( The Hotel Pool and the free access to the Beach Club (only free if you have All Inclusive, otherwise 6 Euro) was great. The animation Team has done a great job to entertain the Tourists and it was even possible to take part in the other Hotels Animation (of Holiday World). The Hotel has a free Bus Shuttle to the Beach and to the Beach Club (every 15 - 20 minutes). All in all it was a great Holiday :-)

very clean and spacious, very popular with spanish holiday makers, pool area big enough, very easy to get beds as most people seem to use the beach club down the hill, a bit out of the way, tried to get a bus one day, waited 30mins, 2 came , were full, ended up getting taxi, taxis cost around 12 to 15 euro to get to Benalmadena or Fuengerola , not great for teenage kids, maybe just bad luck on our part that there were no other families with similar aged kids at the time.food quite good selection, all staff helpfull and smiling . would not return simply for the distance from towns.
