“First Class Comfortable Apartment”
Reviewed 6 February 2011 for a stay in December 2010

We thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas and New Year break in this bright and comfortable apartment. The facilities are first class. The balcony is great for chilling out. The situation of the apartment is such that it is so convenient with no need to rely on lifts. Straight in, up 6 steps or the ramp and less than 30 seconds and you are in the apartment. Across the road is Bonanza Square, with cafe's and bars. Paloma park 10 Minutes walk away and sea front 15 minutes.(younger people may make it faster!!) Alan & Betty

“Everything you need for a comfortable holiday”
Reviewed 6 February 2011 for a stay in March 2010

We have been booking Kerry and Paul’s apartment in March for many years. It is well situated for all amenities, easy walk to the beach, park, town, supermarkets, church and railway station. There are loads of bars and restaurants close by, some reached within a couple of minutes, you would be spoilt for choice. The beach is less than a ten minute walk away and the marina another 10 minutes along the seafront promenade, worth a visit especially if you like boats, there are also many clothes and gift shops there . The seafront promenade has many bars, restaurants and cafés, most are very reasonably priced. If you look around you can get a coffee and brandy for 1.5 euros and a pint of beer for 1 euro. From the marina you can stroll to Torremolinos takes about 30 minutes, again lots of places to stop if needed.
Paloma park, just a few minutes walk away has a large ‘car boot’ market on a Wednesday, it is called a ‘car boot’ but you can buy lots of things, many stalls sell new goods. The railway station is about a 20 minute walk from the apartment, we normally get the train from the airport to Benalmadena Arroyo De La Miel (less than 2 euros each), then, as our cases are heavy a taxi from the station to the Minerva (approx 6 euros), although we know many who walk (from the station not the airport). If during your holiday you feel adventuress you can get the train to Fuengirola, Malaga and many other Costa del Sol areas. The bus service is also very good and if you had time you could visit Benalmadena pueblo (village) or even go as far a Mabella.
The apartment itself is one of the best we have stayed in. Has everything needed for a comfortable holiday, well stocked with towels, sheets, cooking facilities, kettle, toaster, fridge/freezer, washing machine, hairdryer, TV with UK channels and if needed an iron and ironing board. In March the sun is on the balcony from 8am until 5pm so I should imagine it would be there at about the same time in the morning and a fair bit later in the evening in the hotter months. It overlooks Bonanza Square which has bars, restaurants, book/card shop. The Chineese restaurant ‘Chinos’ that can be seen from the balcony is worth a visit, it is very reasonably priced, as is Giorgios, an Italian restaurant less than a 5 minute walk from the apartment.
The Minerva block has a well manned reception and internet access, although you will find cheaper internet access close by if required. There is a very big swimming pool, which is well maintained. The main pool has, slides and chutes. There is also a children’s pool again very well maintained, both are watched by lifeguards. The grounds surrounding the pools is like a mini park .
To sum it up it is a lovely apartment in a nice block close to all amenities needed.
