This was a gem of a hotel to stay in. Yes slightly hard to find but that just added to the adventure. Lovely town with great restaurants, all recommended by the hotel. The accommodation was beautiful and the breakfast was fantastic, with the most wonderful service. Will definitely return

Room Tip: Any room really good, but if possible request one which has views over the sea.

Our 4 night stay at the wonderful La Fonda Hotel was not long enough! (NOT to be confused with the 'La Fonda Apartments'). We will definitely be returning there for a longer stay, to enjoy the charming hotel, delicious breakfast and truly glorious view from our bedroom terrace. The staff were amazing, especially Antonio. The hotel is just off a pretty square (Plaza de Espana, Benalmadena Pueblo) which has many restaurants. We were going to try all of them, but on our first evening we tried Restaurante La Fuente and decided that the food was amazing with such a tasty menu, we ate there every night (and some lunch times too!) The beach is only a 10 minute bus trip away. Heaven!

Room Tip: Definitely choose a room with terrace/sea view.

Had a short stay over a long weekend and would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a picturesque traditional hotel.
Located in the 'pueblo' old town away from the coast but within reach of everywhere, this recently refurbished and family run hotel offers incredible views over the 'costa del sol' in an exceptionally friendly and personal atmosphere.

Only travelling from Gibraltar but will definitely go again. We will be recommending this hotel to friends and family.

Many thanks to Antonio and his staff.

Room Tip: For a few pounds extra the room with a sea view is worth considering.

just returned from a week at la fonda after a bit of a hunt to find it, best bet get a a taxi cause its a bit hidden away, but definately worth it. set up in the quant little village very good couple of lovely restuaraunts in the square only 1 minutes walk away the hotel rooms were spotless and very modern but no coffee making facilities in the room, the hotel has had a complete renovation project in recent months and looks great for it if your looking for something typically spanish this is a must. the very friendly staff can not do enough for you, breakfast is exellent buffet fruit a selection of meats, cereals yoghurts pastry and cooked to order eggs any way you like them bacon toast and coffee juices , a great way to start your day.if you have a car ther e is parking near by its only one euro a day and a two minute walk to an elevator which takes you right there. dont be put off this hotel because its accesibility few steps but nothing much more just having new lift inside the hotel put in so this is a bonus. you do need a car if you stay here because its a little way in the hills and maybe a bit quiet but only a five minute drive to the beach. we spent a couple of evenings down in the marina which is very upmarket and some nice restuarants. in all we had a lovely week and would rate this hotel higher than a three star near on a four, our thanks also goes out to daniel for making our week special and for our morning coffee bought up to room , and also antonio who owns the hotel for cooking such a lovely breakfast thanks la fonda great week be back soon

Room Tip: f you want a suite with balcony you can only do this by contacting the hotel direct

Slightly difficult to find in the old village, but definitely worth the search, this hotel stand out amongst the bland offerings along the coastal strip. The whole hotel has an individual feel to it and the rooms are uncluttered and smart. Those rooms that have a sea-view, have one of the best views for miles around, over the rooftops of the town to the sea in the distance. If you want your hotel right beside the beach this is not for you. Instead it is on the hill, with the town spread beneath, and the sea beyond that. However the hotel has its own charming swimming pool in an elegant courtyard.
Breakfast is more than adequate and is served with great charm; indeed all the staff could not have been more pleasant or helpful.

Room Tip: Rooms with sea view are a negligible 10 euros more expensive and have an extensive balcony, or at le...

We have just returned from a 2 week stay at this lovely hotel in the very pretty and peaceful village of Benalmadena Peublo. The hotel is in a perfect location in the centre of the village and is run by a very friendly and accommodating family. The facilities are of a very high standard and there was good attention to detail in both design and service. We had a large air-conditioned double room with a terrace overlooking the coast. The pool, in an attractive courtyard, is large enough to take a proper swim. A great place to relax for families or couples. Highly recommended.
