The Hotel Vincci Aleysa was the find of 2012. Beautifully designed, brilliant service across the board, the staff excel. Loved the barbeque nights and the delightful food, especially breakfast. Can't wait to get back. ENHORABUENA.

Difficult to put into words just how lovely this small, luxury hotel is. Not in the best part of the C del Sol, but superb in every way. Food, room (upgrade if you can.) it was like a small luxury apartment and service all 5*. If you want a nice break from UK's winter chill, this is the place. Whilst Britain froze on Sunday, I was sunbathing on the beautiful terrace. WONDERFUL!!

Room Tip: A28 was super

We stayed here for four nights total over two stays. Even before we got there we had great service. We had a note from hotel staff asking if we needed a ride from the airport. We did and got picked up in Malaga. The driver was polite, knowledgable, and attentive, as was everyone on staff. Hotel staff organized a car for us, helped us with travel arrangents, local reservations, etc. We had some trouble with the Renfe website (national rail website) and they knew the issue with the site and helped us pin down tickets, which took awhile. Breakfast was included in our rate and was great. There was a standard buffet plus a made to order menu. We ate dinner at the hotel one night and it was delicious and reasonably priced. I would suggest splurging on the room. We did (superior double sea view) and had a huge balcony overlooking the sea. We left the balcony doors open at night and the waves rocked us to sleep. The bathroom was enormous and very well appointed. i wouldn' even mention it but I was so impressed with the lighting and the extras in there..We had massages at the spa and used the indoor spa pool/jacuzzi. Ah, it was luxurious! There were only a couple of downsides. The gym is tiny and has just a couple piecces of equipment. Also, the outdoor pool is quite small. It was too cold when we were there and we didn't use it but I imagine that in the summertime it could get packed quickly. Something to think about, especially if you are visiting with children.

Room Tip: Get a sea view room. It's worth the extra.

You should always take any Spanish hotel displaying 5 stars with a pinch of salt as there's no central awarding body like the RAC or the AA to reign them in. Spanish hotels simply award themselves whatever number of stars they like. That's why although virtually every hotel in Spain declares itself to be "5 Star", you could count literally on two hands the number of Spanish hotels that are truly Five Star quality such as Madrid's InterContinental or Barcelona's Rey Juan Carlos.

Immediately upon arrival we realised that this beautiful hotel was the real deal. Effusively but genuinely greeted by the Owner of the hotel personally and taken to our superb duplex suite we were greeted by an enormous bed with probably the finest cotton sheets I've ever slept on. We've got seriously comfortable 600 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets at home but these were in a different league. They made Frette feel like Wickes Sandpaper or perhaps even rougher, Aldi budget sheets at £4.99 for 2!

The suite was chock full of premium toiletries, fluffy bathrobes and quality slippers as well as two bathrooms, two toilets, two showers and a standalone bath. The TWO lounges (one upstairs and one downstairs) both contained opulent furnishings and a large LED TV each, private sundeck on the upper level and a delightful terrace with comfortable chairs directly in front of our suite made us realise that we had truly discovered THE very best hotel on the Costa Del Sol.

When I travel on business I usually stay at InterContinental and hold their invitation only Royal Platinum Ambassador card. They really look after me and I thought that it couldn't get any better. I was delighted to be proven wrong.

During the recession, every single Spanish hotel that I had previously stayed (with the exception of the Madrid InterContinental, always flawless) has drastically cut back on staff. It's pretty common knowledge when you've lived in Spain for a few years that most businessmen over here tend not to be exactly Businessmen of the Year calibre, to put it very mildly indeed!
In between taking their mandatory five hour lunch breaks (called "siestas") these business geniuses' answer to reduced revenue because of low occupancy rates is to cut standards and staff even further so that then ever more people will stay away. What absolute marketing geniuses!

We had stayed at a nearby "5 Star Hotel", the utterly service-free Benalmadena Hydros paying virtually the exact price that we paid here and there was 1 single staff member in the entire dining room for their diabolically poor continental breakfast. The breakfast at the Aleysa was one of the finest breakfasts that I've ever enjoyed in my entire life. Everything was utterly perfect. There must have been 8 or 9 waiters and kitchen staff to serve around 10 tables and nothing was too little trouble for them.

The only disappointment was that we had partied hard the previous night and barely vacated the suite by noon. The fantastically helpful Guest Relations Director, Marta López Pérez came over to us as we were settling the bill and asked us how we had enjoyed our stay. And you could tell it was done with sincerity, not one of these instant fake smiles that you know are just paying lip service. Marta genuinely wanted to know that we had enjoyed ourselves.

We told her how marvellous the hotel, the staff and the beautiful spa had been but that our only regret was missing breakfast that morning as we overslept. "Missed breakfast? No way! You WILL have breakfast" Marta immediately exclaimed. She said that "we would be able to have breakfast at any time convenient to us, not to them" and that she would telephone the chef right this minute to prepare anything whatsoever that we wanted. Our expectations at this wonderful hotel had already surpassed anything we could have hoped for and now this fantastic lady was saying that we could have the entire restaurant to ourselves at a time to suit us and not the hotel. I dare anyone to try this at any other hotel in Spain and you will be met with that blank stare and the silly little shrug they so love to do with the outstretched hands saying "not posseebul" or their all time favourite, "Manana".

We had the entire restaurant to ourselves with three waiting staff at the best table overlooking the breaking waves of the Med just a few feet away. Even the chef came over to ask if everything was to our exact lilking! I just couldn't believe it!

This is one of the finest hotels that we've ever stayed in with simply World Class staff. No corners cut, nothing skimped and definitely NO MANANA!

If you want to stay in the finest hotel on the Costa Del Sol please don't waste a single minute of your time bothering to look elsewhere. This is it!

Room Tip: It's only a little more for the duplex best suite in the Hotel. Well worth the extra!

this place must be unique. a hotel that puts the guest first all the time. from a phone call the day before arrival to check in and for the following 5 days everything was done to please us and boy did they please us. the room was huge and beautifully appointed as was the bathroom with it's stand alone bath, large walk in shower together with high quality toiletries with towels changed daily. a lovely terraced area with comfortable seats and foot stools for relaxing and sunbathing. food at breakfast was superb with a good choice of cold buffet and cooked food to order.the staff were second to none and always smiling and ready to sort out any queeries or help with practically anything you wanted. this is a wonderful hotel and one which is highly recommended. it may be a little more expensive but believe me it will be worth every penny. try a little luxury and enjoy the experience we did and will go back.

Room Tip: all rooms are good. benalmadena needs to come out of 1970's
