Thank you to all the staff at Benalmadena Palace Hotel for a fantastic holiday especially Cristina who my little boy adored.

Accommadation:
1 bedroom apartment. Good size. Beds comfy including sofa bed (turns into 2 good sized single beds). Bathroom included bath

with shower as well as a seperate shower - always had hot water. Kichenette had kettle, toaster, microwave, 2 ring electric

hob and selection of utensils, cutlery, plates, cups and glasses. Room also had a tv which had various uk channels - not sure

which as I never watched but kids did.

Hotel ameneties:
Outdoor pool including kids pools both covered by life guards. Indoor pool and jacuzzi. Spa providing variety of beauty

treatments including massage. Launderette, hairdressers and gym. Kids club (have to book your children in and out), kids play

area, mini golf, voley ball court, tenis court, games room, pub with veranda. Pool snack bar, resturant.
The entertainment team provided various activities throughout the day and evening. The pub hosted various entertainment acts

each night. Free wi-fi. Little shop at reception provided variety of items such as water, bread, cigarettes, clothes etc...
Free bus to beach

Tips
The road to the hotel main entrance is short but step. My mum and dad are in there 70's and managed it but it stopped them

going out for daily walks. There are some short cuts though:
Half way up the hill there is the car park entrance to the hotel - there is a padestrian path you can use. The garage takes

you through to the indoor pool area on level 0. You will need your key card

Overall I thought the service provided by the hotel staff was definately 4*. The accommadation was a good 3* due to wear and tear.

Apartments - spacious, clean and nicely decorated.
Staff - really friendly. The guys at the Kids Club deserve a special mention - JJ, Patrice, Mayriam, Nadia and Sandra - all fabulous with the kids in the day time and made the evenings fun in the Disco Bar. Our kids loved the face painting and the mini disco at night. Reception staff always happy to help.
Food - very good overall. Plenty of choice for breakfast, lunch and evening meals. Options for kids and nicely cooked meat at the grill.
Location - about 20mins walk from the centre of the resort. Yes, it is at the top of a hill but a very small hill and you can always go around the side of the hotel if you want a less steep option.
Facilities - decent pools (indoor and outdoor), great sauna, tennis courts, gym etc etc.

Overall - great holiday in a really nice hotel. Best for kids who can make the most of the kids club...our 6 and 7 year olds did not want to leave and are already asking when we can go back!

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor with a pool view.

We stayed for one week at the end of July '12, me, my husband and 2 boys aged 6 and 9. After reading several good reviews I'm sorry to say that I was disappointed. We arrived at 12 midnight and given our room, I instantly knew it was the wrong room due to the 'sloping' ceiling which are characteristic of the Studio rooms when I'd booked a one bedroom. Went to Reception the following day and our room was changed by 1pm, although I'd only 'requested' a poolside room we were given a room at the front of the Hotel (roadside), despite neg reviews the only 'nosiy' nights were the Fri/Sat when I presume the locals went to the beach? Views of Mountains and Sea lovely, just don't look down at the road! Room was fine, comfy bed, hair dryer, iron (didn't use, obviously!), boys on pull out bed-settee, fridge, hob, air con, TV etc, towels changed about twice in the week, maid didn't 'tidy' every day though. Food-breakfast best meal of the day, in comparison to other AI choice at lunch and tea was poor, also didn't like to keep asking for drinks with our meals, again on other AI you can help yourself to wine/soft drinks etc during meal times. Choices for snacks were also limited and we found most but not all of the entire staff gloomy! Entertainment was poor and on too late for the younger ones, I wouldn't consider pretending to kill a parrot as entertainment and the elderly couple who sang midweek, well to be honest it's an insult to what adults consider as entertainment. Kids Club was fine for toddlers, nothing much for my 2 and staff seemed to favour the Spanish children, mine went in it once and didn't want to go in it again (which isn't like them!). Facilities themselves are good, indoor/outdoor pool lovely, we always got a sun lounger and didn't put our towels out at 6am! I don't believe in reserving 4 when our boys are mostly in the pool, pity others aren't as thoughtful, also some use the beds near the small pool in the morning but also reserve beds near the end of the big pool for later in the afternoon when the sun moves round, my husband just removed their towels, simple! Inflatables not allowed in the pool but big rubber tyres are. Gym was ok, steam and sauna room, games room. Beach was lovely, again use the route through the hotel to avoid the hill. The AI to too restrictive and I must admit that when staff saw your wrist band they seemed to serve cash customers first, I asked for a bottle of water at 11.05pm and was asked to pay for it as the AI has ended (I didn't pay!). Would I go back, no, would I recommend it, no.

Stayed 7 days at the Hotel with our kids & grandchildren. Rooms were pleasant and clean. A special treat was the restaurant, competently managed by Patricio and his very friendly and able staff - breakfast will never be the same again. All staff from the reception to the room cleaners were extremely curteous and competent. Thank you "Botha's Room 404"

We stayed in Benalmadena palace for two weeks all inclusive. The hotel itself was ok.. not 4 star by any means. The rooms were totally outdated but we didn't spend much time in them really only to sleep n shower. The food was only o.kish if u eat a lot of chips you will be fine. The entertainment was only ok... have seen much better the parrot & snake guys were a bit pushy wen it came to photos..They were charging up to e30 for them..

As for the so called "ALL INCLUSIVE" dont bother we paid a lot for our holiday and i know the all inclusive option bumped it up, but by god did they make there money off us because there is no way we would have spent even close to it if we had of paid for everything.. We were totally blanked once they saw the band on our wrists.. Last to b served at d bar etc... Our "all inclusive menu at the snack bar consisted of 3 items pizza, hot dogs or a very pink looking burger.
The beer is totally undrinkable & my husband is not a fussy man but he couldn't even drink it.. Gave them a tip on the 2nd week just to see if we would get served faster and by golly it worked.. but for all the tips we had to leave we could have bought a decent drink for ourselves.
All inclusive ends at 11pm sharp..

We got a sun lounger by the pool twice over 2 weeks because there was never any free ones there..towels put on them at god no's what time in the morning to reserve them but yet in some cases they never came back to actually use them.. Very annoying.. So we spent a lot of our time on the loungers at the beach which cost us e4.50 each but at least there was always plenty of free ones..

All in all we made the most of our holiday we went to tivoli world (excellent) selewo world (excellent) the bio park (excellent) I could go on...

Would i go back... i do not think so.
Word to the wise DO NOT GO ALL INCLUSIVE..

Just got back from Benalmadena palace last week and have already booked to go back in 3 weeks. This will be our fourth trip there this year. Only 5 days at a time though. Cannot fault the place. The kids love it all the staff are friendly especially manuel the manager. The animation team are great with everybody especially patrice. Food is very nice. The rooms are great and the cleaners are always there everyday. Always try for a pool view which is brill overlooking the sea.The local area is also full of restaurants and cafes and bars are not too far a walk away. Also a trip to the marina is worth a visit. Bonanza sqaure is also worth trying for live entertainment the bonanza bar is very good also the elefante also for a cheap friendly family run bar try fagins just around the corner from buzby's. Anyway could go on and on will recommend this resort to any families who would like a very nice holidy cheers.

Room Tip: high floor pool view
