“Excellent Family Hotel especially All Inclusive”
Reviewed 31 May 2013

We spent eight nights in this hotel on an all inclusive basis and had holiday of a lifetime.
This is a magnificent hotel for families with young children.

The hotel is big, spacious and very clean. Our apartment was located on the 3rd floor - right beside the shop, lifts and stairs to the restaurant, snackbar, beny's bar, mini club and the pools. Our two bedroom apartment consisted of two bedrooms, each with two single beds joined together and good wardrobe space with mirrored doors (appreciated by the girls!) Two bathrooms, shower and bath. Kitchen area with sofa that could be used a sofa bed also and a balcony. Our room overlooked the side/back gardens but was a pleasant view. Very big apartment - we liked the space.

Food and drinks (local alcohol) were included in our deal and the food was divine. Huge selection at buffet in restaurant daily. Breakfast - cereal, decent coffee machines, bacon, sausages, eggs, pastries, ham, cheese, all juices - delicious. Lunch - we ate at outdoor snackbar - this had a menu consisting of burgers, toasties, pizza, chips, salad - again delicious!! Dinner - again restaurant buffet, vast selection - my children had soup, rolls, then noodles, meat of day or fish and lots of desserts!! Was wary of going all inclusive incase food was repetitive or not nice but it surpassed our expectations. (My girls are 5 and 2 and can be quite fussy as children are, but they loved everything they ate!!)

Entertainment wise, the hotel again excelled. The highlight for us was the entertainment staff, Laura, Nadia & Sandra at the Mini Club and Tad for evening entertainment. There was tears when we said our goodbyes! The mini club was amazing - these girls naturally love children and had patience and attention for each child that came in. We spent a good bit of time here, colouring in, playing in outdoor park, face painting and had great fun. Every night at 8pm, the mini disco for the chidren is on in bar. They dance, play games, with winner getting certificate!, and then at the end Beny arrives. The children adore Beny and it makes your holiday seeing the happiness on their little faces. All the while, the parents can have a drink and watch their children. Then its bingo and every night a different entertainment show, which everyone stayed up for with the children. There was a magician, reptile show, birds of prey show, Adele tribute, Motown, Flamenco show - brilliant! No need to leave hotel for night entertainment. A true family resort.

During the day there are two outdoor pools, indoor pool and jacuzzi, rifle shooting, archery, mini golf, tennis. Beach towels can be rented at hotel to save taking your own. The beach is a five minute walk away. The bus 120 just round corner from hotel goes to Malaga for 1 euro 60 and takes from 30 minutes to 1hr depending on traffic. There is so much to do at hotel.

The staff in restaurant and snackbars were so obliging and friendly, Carmen in particular, as were the entertainment staff mentioned. A massive thanks to everyone for making our holiday magnificent. I would highly recommend this hotel to any family with young children, perhaps up to about 9/10. Will be returning.

Note: we booked all inclusive for 8 nights 2 adults and 2 children through hotels4u for less than £1,000 (flights not included) and was a bargain.

Fourth time here with a group of students, by far the least relaxing of our visits. Patrice the entertainer wasn't there and we had to endure another fella who insisted on playing boom boom music to an audience of little kids and pensioners! The karaoke was poor and not well supported maybe the entertainer chosen songs for you to sing was teh reason. A family hotel through and through - few too many kids up late for me but thats me just being grumpy. There was a potential nasty incident when late night porter gave a drunk chelsea fan a key to one of our rooms instead of his own which caused a degree of consternation to the occupants as he let himself in. Management full of apologies but thats about all. Very noisy at the front late on with typical English stag and hen dos arriving back from a night with usual bad language etc - makes you proud to be British. In all honesty I think this could be our last visit here - bring back Patrice!

Advantages:

1. Massive Hotel
2. Great Food
3. Lifts and a shop in the hotel.
4. Restaurant and Pub in the hotel with live shows every night(very entertaining)
5. two very nice swimming pools.
6. Gym
7. Games room, great for the teenagers.
8. Beach is 200M away.
9. Staff are very nice.

Disadvantages:

1. Hotel is on top of a hill
2. Internet is a rip off
3. Very Expensive food and games room.

There is a zoo, waterpark, crocodile park, dolphin shows nearby.
If staying at Benalmadena Palace you can also get a free trip to either NERGA OR JIBRALTAR, you only have to sit through a 60 minute presentation.

The hotel has a Thomas Cook REP called Terry, he's great.

Overall the hotel is great, so is the location, but the downside is that the hotel is on top of a hill. but overall 4 stars.

"Rocio" is a very nice staff member, who deals with the games and archery/air rifle activites all free of charge. There are activites every day.

I visited: 3-10 April 2011

Good Value
2. The pool machine steals your money sometimes.

Room Tip: Choose a room on the 3rd floor, in the middle and nice pool view.

We're just back from a week at the Benalmadena Palace, Spain. The hotel is superb for families. Rooms were spacious and quiet (and I was nervous because we were placed on the 4th floor which I'd read reviews of here as noisy), reception staff were very helpful, restaurant staff were lovely and the Kids Club staff were outstanding. There was so much for our little girl to do, she didn't want to come home. The food in the hotel was so delicious, and had such variety, that we decided to upgrade to half board on the second day, and it was the best decision we made. Excellent value for money.

The only negative aspect of this hotel is the steep hill leading up to it, but as has been mentioned in other reviews, you can cut this short by entering and leaving through the car park.

Big big big thank you to the Kids Club staff, Nadia, Sandra and Tadeo who put on a fantastic mini-disco every night for the kiddies. They made the holiday for our little girl, and so, for us. I'd highly recommend this hotel for anyone with children and will be returning next year.

This hotel was by far the best hotel i ever stayed in.

The Staff are so friendly and they do so much with the kids and there is also entertainment every night.

The rooms was cleaned every day and fresh towels.

Buffet in hotel was absolutely incredible and well worth the €15.

On arrival at the hotel we were greeted with a warm welcome and in our room were sweets and a bottle of water. This was a great touch.

BEST HOTEL EVER!

Room Tip: Sea view was lovely & Also the view at the back looking onto the hill.

Just returned from four night stay at the Benalmadena Palace Hotel. Found all hotel staff very helpful especially Trevor on reception. Food ( Half board ) was excellent with a good choice every day. Facilities were very good but the room although clean was a bit tired. we stayed in a studio but from talking to others it seems apartments may be better. The hotel is situated on a very steep hill although there is an entrance at the back which is not so steep but this is shut after eight P.M. Good views from balconies both at front and back. Hotel is situated quite a long way from the marina shops and station. Taxi from station seven euros. Train fare from airport one euro eighty per person. Enjoyed stay.

Room Tip: Good views of sea on pool side of building.
