We had a spacious self catering department with a balcony. Quite a large bathroom with a bath! Quiet and no noises heard from next door or above. The room was clean, towels and bins sorted daily. The staff were very helpful. The downstairs bar was very expensive 3 euro for a lemonade, at the happy hour buy one get one free, so only went there once. We arrived late and were brought some bread and cold meats/cheeses to the room. I was a bit disappointed being a piscarean that there was not more creative cooking for me. The fish was mostly grilled and quiches had meat in them, but there was always plenty of salad etc. Yes it is on a steep slope, but we cut through the underground car park and took the lift to level 3, which saved the last drag. We are in our 60s and managed it, although at the end of a long walk it was challenging. The Hotel is a bit out on a limb and its a 25min. walk to the resort centre and port, but it has the advantage of a quiet beautiful beach. The buses are easily accessible, one being across the road and others round the corner. There were several small supermarkets 5 or 10min. walk away. We did not use the indoor pool gym, etc., but it all looked very clean and well equipped. There is a large patio area just off the reception, where it is nice to sit in the evenings.

Room Tip: need a room with a balcony facing the pool they have a more sunny outlook.

Consistently unable to find a free table at breakfast or evening meal times! Half of the tables are reserved, during the evening meal session (why???), and it is virtually impossible to find a table for a family of four, at dinner. This doesn't make for a relaxing holiday, unfortunately.
I write this from the hotel.

Arrived yesterday for a 7 night break and it already deserves a review. Booked flights and accommodation 4pm on Thursday 26th December, flights with easy jet and then rang and emailed hotel direct myself and received a fantastic deal and reponse from Rafael was immediate. We flew at 6:35am on Friday 27th december with no delays and a perfect landing, arrived hotel at 11:15am and checking in staff were helpful and friendly. The bar and catering staff are giving 100% attention, the food is incredible, such a choice for breakfast, dinner and evening meal with snacks all round, the drinks are not watered down as most all inclusive deals, the quality of the food is unbelievable and served hot and fresh.

The indoor spa and pool area is amazing with sauna, steam room, cold showers, hot showers, cold foot spa stone area, which is great fun, hot jacuzzi, indoor pool which is huge with water sprays.

The bar terrace and outdoor pool was warm enough it's sun for kids to play and swim yesterday and plenty of lounges around outdoor and indoor pools.

Whether a last minute decision like us or a planned holiday, this hotel is definately a good decision.

This was our second trip to the Benalmadena Palace. We stayed in December and although the hotel was quiet, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The facilities were even better than our previous stay, 2 years ago and what was most impressive was the very high level of maintenance of all the grounds and facilities - staff were continually working to keep the hotel looking its absolute best and were so friendly in the process. My kids loved the indoor pool, jacuzzi and the evening entertainment. We had a room on the 6th floor with a fabulous view of the outdoor pool and the sea (I requested this by e mail and was NOT disappointed!). Rooms cleaned and serviced regularly. Will definitely be back again! Thanks to everyone there for such a wonderful stay.

Room Tip: Pay a bit extra for a pool view. We were on 6th floor and had a great view of the sea aswell.

went self catering as a couple, everything we needed in the apartment for cooking, iron, iron board, hairdryer, kettle toaster microwave, 2 rings, tv with a few British channels, took our usb memory stick loaded with movies to watch some nights, free internet, all rooms were clean, fresh and modern. Nice views from balcony, but was at the front of the hotel, so didn't get the sun full on, but that didn't bother us as we were out most of the time. Friendly staff, whom spoke good English, Good hotel immunities, shop, restaurant, spa jacuzzi, gym, pools, games room, cinema, launderette a nice bar with nightly entertainment, happy hour between 9pm-10pm. Close to the beach, shops, restaurants, and a for a basic shop there's a supermarket down the hill heading towards the beach take a right and when you come to see Burgerking on your right, you will see it. Or there's Macedona, which I think has more of a selection a with a little more close to home looking produce, & a bit cheaper, which is about 12mins walk if you google it. The apartment heating was automatically turned on once the window and balcony was closed, which I was glad about because a few nights was a little fresh.I can't rate the restaurant as we didn't eat in there, but we did one night choose to eat in the snack bar, I ordered barbeque ribs & chips, which was tasty but a little greasy for me and the ribs looked more like a fatty pork chop, but we preferred to eat out, or prepare something light at the apartment. Definitely child friendly if you have kids. There is a bit of a hill to climb to reach the hotel, but if you follow the red path towards the car park, ring the buzzer and someone will let you in. I thought the location was good, you are to Between Torremolinos and Fuengirola, with regular bus routes. No complaints

Room Tip: get a view from the pool at the back of the hotel, you don't get the sun directly front facing o...

We have stayed here a few times & as always we had no complaints at all,
We had room 303 which by chance we have stayed in the same room before, this room overlooks the pool & gets the sun in the morning until late afternoon. The kitchen has everything that you require, fridge, 2 ring cooker, pots pans & more important bottle opener, though my first 1 broke but no problem at reception they just changed it. There was entertainment every night & has a very good children's club. There is an excellent supermarket at the back of the hotel & a path down to it.
Would I go here again Oh Yes.

Just back from our first stay at Benalmadena Palace and really enjoyed it. We stayed for 4 weeks and it couldn't have been better. The first studio we were given was on the side where there was no sun, but went to reception and there was no problem changing it to south facing (over looking the pool) straight away. Apartment had every thing you need for s/c. The studios have a slanting roof were the beds are you get use to it after you have bump your head a couple of times ha ha. The microwave broke, went to reception and within 1/2 hour it had been changed and this was at 6pm
The staff cannot do enough for you they always have a smile and every one of them always says hola no matter what they are doing, which is very rare in most hotels. The indoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi are great, yes a little more lighting would be better but that's being picky. The gym is well equipped. The entertainment staff are great Ana was really lovely. Will defo be going back and would recommend it.

Room Tip: use the garage to help with the hill, if your key doesn't work just press the buzzer and they wi...
