“Good Holiday”

A friend and I booked up for here very last minute.
We went for the self catering plan an the room was well equipped with only a few thoughts of improvement.
Not all the rings on the hob of the cooker worked but didn't complain as we could still make food. There wasn't any washing up liquid to do out dishes or tea towel to dry them off but again nothing too dramatic.
The room was very clean and cozy with a great view.
The entertainment most nights was good fun, unfortunately one of the entertainers (Patrice I believe his name was) was a bit overpowering. He interrupted performers and made a few people feel uncomfortable, but if you like that sort of entertainment then hey, it's a great place to stay. Would recommend.

We had a family holiday in this hotel in August 2013. The hotel is just on the edge of Benalmadenam, but it's only a 5 minute walk into the centre. Yes, the hotel is up a hill, so I could imagine pushing a buggy or wheelchair up the hill could get a little tiresome. However, this is the only negative (if you can call that a negative) piece of information I can provide about this hotel. The food is good, with plenty of variety, there are plenty of activities to keep children occupied. There is a fantastic range of facilities within the hotel such as two outdoor pools, an indoor pool, gym, sauna, steam room, 5-a-side court, tennis court, a quiet garden to sunbathe if people want to get away from the pool. It was all kept very clean and all the staff were very helpful. There is a small supermarket within about a 2 minute walk if you go out via the back of the hotel, which is very worthwhile knowing if you want to stock up on essentials. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone.

Following the recent bad weather in the UK, we just wanted to jet off somewhere a bit more hotter & sunnier and so the 9 of us decided to visit the Costa Del Sol for the first time. When booking the holiday, this hotel came up as a popular choice. We did the research on the hotel and were immediately impressed by the pictures and reviews. We decided to go for half board as we felt breakfast & dinner would be enough and it was. Fantastic food with a large range to choose from and considering the fact a lot of us were fussy eaters, non of us were left hungry and needing to visit the local supermarket or burger king down the road (some even going back for seconds!). Truth was we found it hard to choose what to eat and some of us ended up returning to the table with a mountain of food. The only bad thing I could say about the food was that the bread buns were a little bit hard.
The atmosphere was wonderful and typically Spanish. This was mainly down to the fantastic staff at the hotel who were always helpful. We has trouble with the snooker table and the guys in reception helped us out, 1 member had a small accident in the shower and yet again the staff were very co-operative in giving us information of the local hospital & ordering us a taxi to the hospital. However, 1 member of staff that really stood out to us from the first night was the waitress Carmen. She always had a smile on her face, always cheerful, always ready for a laugh & a joke, always polite, always helpful and quick on her feet as she rushed around taking drink orders and cleaning tables. She has defiantly mastered the art of multitasking. Personally we feel she should be employee of the month. After we had had our last meal at the hotel before returning to cold England, she said goodbye to us and gave us a hug. What more could you ask from a waitress like Carmen?
One thing we loved about this hotel was the facilities. There's plenty of for the kids to do in Beny's mini club as well as play football, play mini golf, play volley ball & there's loads of games in the games room. As breakfast was from 8AM-11AM, we used to get up at 8AM and go down the level 0 for a morning swim in the indoor and a go on the exercise machines in the gym for an hour then go back up to the room for a shower before heading for breakfast. Entertainment was very good and my only regret was not getting a chance to play bingo. There was signing, dancing, karaoke & even magic tricks. Patrice really does know how to get people entertained and how to try and get people off their feet & trying to get to know the guests.
When we first arrived in our rooms we were greeted by some complementary sweets and tea which was very nice. We had a big wardrobe and a nice balcony and the maid would leave us a note saying what she had cleaned or done in the room. From looking at the kitchen area this hotel is especially ideal for those who choose self catering. However, what I would say about the rooms is that I think some areas may need a bit of updating. For example, the ladies in our group did all say that the hair dryer in their rooms were not that good. They said it occasionally turned off, they always had to have their finger down on the button for it to work & there wasn't much power. We also had a slight problem with the shower. Not much water would come out but it was easy to control the water temperature.
Overall we all enjoyed staying at this hotel & I will be sure to be checking into this hotel the next time I visit Costa Del Sol but I really do think Carmen should be the next employee of the month. iMuchas Gracias por todo!

Room Tip: Request a room over looking the hotel pool - the view is fab!

Just back from a weeks holiday to this hotel! As a family we can't speak highly enough of it.The hotels rooms, facilities and cleanliness are excellent but it's the staff that really make this hotel special. My boys Lucas and Flynn loved all the staff at the kids club they made loads of friends and were well looked after, we never saw them and they didn't want to come home. The food was fantastic in both the pool bar and restaurant plenty of choice and the drinks were well priced especially the twice daily happy hour!
The evening entertainment was good starting with the mini disco which involved Ana Laura and Kerry who were excellent and the very funny Patrice! A great guy who always got plenty of laughs especially for his mr and mrs show and bingo games!
The only complaint I have about this hotel is we didn't stay for two weeks!
Looking to book again for next year thanks again to all involved!

This was our first trip to Costa Del Sol and we could not have asked for a better time! Benalmadena Palace was centrally located within Costa Del Sol. It is about a 1/4 mile to the beach. Rooms are average size but very clean. The bedding could be updated. Food was reasonably priced but average. If you plan to eat there more than 1 day, be sure to pre-buy the meals at the front desk. There is a discount for each meal when you purchase 2 or more days.
The staff at this hotel are amazing. All of them very friendly and helpful. Any issues we had were addressed with a smile. Since it was our first trip to the area, we often asked questions about food, transportaion, markets, etc. They were always willing to help.
The amenities are very good. They have a game room and day care for kids. They have outdoor padle tennis, soccer, and volleyball. They have an indoor facility with a gym, sauna, hot tub, and pool. All kept very well. They also have an outdoor pool. Very nice but too cold in February! Plenty of lounge chairs around the pool and they have a snack bar with food right there. Great place to relax and catch some rays.
The best part of the hotel was for sure Beny's Bar. Again, the staff was incredible. Benji, Amador, Manuel, and of course Simon. From the first night we walked in Simon made us feel right at home. We leaned on him for directions, restaurants, tips, just about everything. He always made time for us. Over the next several days, we met Benji, Amador, and Manuel. Again, all of them going out of there way to get us whatever we needed. I even got the Sangria recipe from Simon! The happy hour is 9-10pm. Buy 1 get 1. Made sure we never missed that. After happy hour, every night is followed by a different show from Flamenco Dancing to singers. I can't say enough good things about it. We always left the bar wanting to come back!
Overall, we had a great trip and would definetly come back!

Room Tip: Pool view rooms have the better views. Can look over the pool and see the Med.

We have stayed here on a number of occasions and will return. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Any queries are dealt with efficiently. The hotel has had a facelift since the last time we stayed and looks very tidy.

The only quibbles are that there is a very limited supply of cooking equipment for self-catering -we always have to ask for more crockery to have enough for the 4 of us (it is always provided cheerfully) and on this visit there were only news channels in English. On previous visits there have been some BBC and ITV channels. It isn't a massive problem but, as it is dark quite early in February, it has been an advantage on previous visits.

Room Tip: Pool view rooms above fourth floor are best for sun.

We have just returned from a week of winter sun at the Benalmadena Palace. Not only were we blessed with blue skies and sunshine, we also received a warm and friendly welcome upon our arrival at the hotel.
All of the staff at the hotel are attentive, welcoming and offer fantastic customer service, everyone made us feel special.
The hotel is well equipped and very clean. We ate at the snack bar and the main restaurant during our stay and the food was delicious and catered well for all of the family. The Benalmadena Palace is a brilliant for children it has a superb (free) kids club, with amazing staff, a games room, mini golf, a playground, organized activities such as archery and rifle shooting and a nightly mini disco.
The indoor pool and spa area is lovely, it is clean and safe. The pool was just the right temperature and didn't get too busy.
We had a one bedroom apartment that was clean and spacious, with a good size balcony overlooking the pool.
Would definitely recommend to friends and family and will return for more winter sun!!
