Description: Our philosophy is based on the tradition with a modern vision, while retaining the love of household and family-managed products. We get healthy, tasty and local food. The friendliness of the waiters and the atmosphere on the terrace with magnificent sea views make Gisla Restaurant a quiet place to spend the evening with a wonderful Italian style.

“High quality and excellent service.”
Reviewed 4 June 2014

Visited this restaurant last night and will be returning this evening as we were so impressed, staff talked us through the whole menus, how and what it's cooked with, they took the time and diligence to please us with excellent service and warm friendly greeting.
The food was all home made especially the pasta which was wonderful.
The views from the outer and indoor restaurant are lovely if you like to look out onto the med.
I would certainly recommend the Gisla if you want excellent quality Italian dishes.

“Early season drawbacks, but a further visit intended”
Reviewed 3 June 2014 via mobile

Menu and wine card restrictions applied!
However a house Pinot Grigio, a little drier than usual, very acceptable.
A carpaccio of three seafoods was only available with one. The micro sliced octopus and garnish was excellent, owing more to Italy of course than Galicia! A beef carpaccio was simply but equally beautifully made.
A home made pasta course one of Ragout, (Bolognese to Brits) the other with a delicious pine nut and spinach creamy sauce.
A couple of sea base mains, one more Spanish Mediterranean, the other with baby clams and tomatoes, more Italianate.
A good example of a restaurant that knows how to do splendid tastes with simple ingredients.
All lead by a very interesting, intelligent and well travelled Maitress d'H.
A later visit when it is hoped the shopping is more up to speed, is much recommended.

“Great seafood!”

We absolutely loved this Italian restaurant! It has an amazing view, food is really wonderful and service excellent. My husband had the fresh crab and squid-ink homemade pasta, which was truly amazing. My prawn with homemade tagliatelle pasta was great too. Beautiful wine, amazing food, great service and 20 meters from the beach, what more could you ask for...

Staying at the Sunset Beach we came across this restaurant. Really authentic Italian food - had lunch there most days and dinner one night. Every dish we ordered was delicious. Great value too! Amazing views and Stephanie's background music was excellent. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend it.

“best pasta pesto ever”
Reviewed 29 April 2014

staying in the sunset beach hotel we decided to give this restaurant a try one evening as it is adjacent to the hotel on a fabulous location overlooking the beach. We were not disappointed, from the outset we were greeted by a fabulously friendly, flamboyant and attentive waiter. The view over the sea was fabulous asthe restaurant has huge windows which afford a brilliant view. The food was mouthwatering. I had a pest pasta which was the nicest i have ever had. The spaghetti was melt in the mouth and the sauce gorgeous. My sons had spaghetti bolognese which they loved, For the main course I had a sea bass dish and my husband had the fish special which was sea bream. Mine was lovely with a gorgeous roasted pepper and potato side dish and my husbands special was even nicer - he loved it and having tried it I can honesly say it was beautiful. We also had lovely desserts. We went again the next night and my boys had the pesto pasta which they adored (they are very fussy) and i had sea food linguini which was beautiful. Can't remember what my husband had and neither can he - it was a pasta dish - but suffice to say we know he loved it. Again we had lovely desserts - standard itialian fare albeit, i.e. tiramisu, pana cotta etc. The wine selection was also very good and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend and am yearning to go back there.
