“excellent hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 February 2014

Stayed here for 1 week end of January. This is first time staying but won't be the last. Staff on reception are very helpful. I requested a bath and also a room on the sunny side, I received both. I also got a very good rate booking on their own website. I have tried a booking for May but the hotel is full. I think this speaks for it itself how good the hotel is. The recent refurbishment is excellent. We where in a room near the road, but when the balcony door is closed there is no noise at all. I felt the staff in the dining room could be more pleasant, apart from a few who always smiled. Maybe because are rushed off their feet My other complaint about the staff, is it is hard to get their attention when needing a refill of coffee. Their coffee is excellent always hot. I suppose the answer to that would be to use the machine. These are just niggles as the hotel is very good.

Stayed for 4 nights on a quick break on 10th February with a friend. I've been to this resort many times and have stayed in other hotels but this has been the best. Recently refurbished it's modern, clean and comfortable and has an excellent location on the sea front and not far from the marina, my parents are now on their 3 rd visit
The food is fabulous, lots of choice and the live cooking area is great, I don't think I could have stopped any longer at the hotel though as I would have gained too much weight from all of the tempting dishes!. We used the a la carte restaurant too and that was friendly, intimate and again served great food. The staff in all areas of the hotel were all really friendly and helpful, the house keeping staff do an amazing job. I hope they keep up the standards.

Just had two wonderful weeks at the Riviera, I cant find anything negative to say, the hotel & location are first class, bedroom is very spacious, the bed so big I would have benefited with a pair of walkie talkies to talk to my wife, the bathroom was excellent with twin wash basins. restaurant excellent, good food with so much choice to suit anyone. I also recommend to take up the once a week opportunity of a meal in the Al-a- carte restaurant, a lovely experience. All the staff from reception, dining room, cleaners & bar staff were exceptional & nothing was too much trouble, the Thompson rep Christina was superb. The evening entertainment was first class, with really good variety artists to suit everyone tastes. the highlight of the holiday were Caz & Danny our entertainment hosts, there was always some activity during to the day & their evening hosting was brilliant, especially when Caz did her own singing spots. The fact that they seemed to be enjoying themselves added to the enjoyment of the guests. If have one small complaint it was that the indoor pool is now a spa centre which at €10 per hour is rather expensive, the fact that it was hardly used some what confirms this. An indoor pool if only in the winter season would have being nice.

Room Tip: •"Rooms on the south side are quieter" you do get a lot of noise from the traffic, althoug...

Spent 3 weeks in the Riviera Hotel, and had a most enjoyable holiday. The rooms were very comfortable, especially the bed. Walk in Shower and double sinks. We were on Half Board and the food was excellent, something for everyone, and the Staff were super. From the service in the dining room, reception and housekeeping we had no complaints at all. The Entertainment was very good, again something to suit all types of holidaymakers, and Chas and Danny were superb and made everyone feel welcome. Already booked for next year, and would loved to have stayed longer, well done the Riviera.

we stayed at the hotel Riviera last month and as was the case before the refurbishment we had to be very careful about taking anything of value round the pool and in the gardens. Both my friend and I on separate occasions turned to find a bloke hovering behind our sunbeds and we know people who have been robbed in the past [wallets, phones, cameras etc] It doesn't just happen in this hotel we've heard of others.I asked the rep.why they didn't warn people at the welcome meeting and she said they didn't want to frighten them,as it was up to them to guard rheir own property. So if you're going to stay anywhere in Spain just be aware that these things do happen and be vigilant.

Room Tip: all rooms are the same, new and comfortable

We stayed here the last week in January. The weather was excellent for the time of year and we absolutely loved this hotel. The food, the quiet ambiance of both the dining room and other lounges, the helpful smiling staff - nothing too much trouble; the spacious bedrooms and oh how we loved the bathroom with the spacious walk in shower.
Out room had a side sea view - very interesting.
A lift ride down onto the promenade with lovely walks in either direction especially the one to the marina.
We were also happy to not be ripped off in many of the cafes along the front apart from one that is. Would recommend Benny's for a cheap well cooked snack and large cups of coffee.
I have to admit one of the best features of the hotel was the lack of child - sadly we're at the time of life when we need a little peace.

I'm now recommending this hotel with pleasure to all our friends.
The Thomson's reps looked well after us and always seemed to be available.

We stayed there from 12. Jan - 4th Feb. What a wonderfull three week stay and met some lovely people.Rooms were very comfy for the long stay. They even supply you with a kettle ,tea, coffee and milk.Very handy indeed.English tv stations ,some watched their favourite soaps at night. Very varied entertainment in the bar at night..We loved "the tapas corner " in the restaurant, but there was also the a la carte you can use once a week,It was a luxury and Esperanza couldnt do enough for you and make you feel special.Infact all the staff are wonderfull. We couldnt fault this hotel and will definately go back.If there was any nit pick it would be that outsiders use the hotel lift, they go down to the beach and when they come back they wait for someone to use their pass to open the gate,And say "Oh i forgot my pass"This is a breach of security and one thing i did worry about,I think the management should look at this before someone gets in and robs someone.Location first class,Bus stops both sides of the road. When i return i will definately use The Riviera,,infact cant wait to be truthfull

Room Tip: can be cold in winter ,ask for south facing room
