I booked this hotel as a Christmas gift for my wife, I wanted it to be special so I upgraded to a premier sea view room. I booked it on the 7th of December 2013, and was due to stay on the Monday 12th of May until Friday 16th May 2014.
I received an email on the 6th May, only six [YES SIX] days before I was due to arrive telling me that they no longer recognised my booking, and that they would try to accommodate me elsewhere.
My wife was devastated, after five months of anticipation and excitement of a luxury holiday, suddenly we are flying to a foreign country with nowhere to stay and uncertainty of what we have in store for us.
I phoned the hotel and spoke directly to the management, I pointed out that I had booked fully five months in advance and I felt that I should certainly have first call on available rooms, and anyone booking later than me should be the one to lose out. The female on the phone refused to acknowledge my point and basically ignored my pleadings.
If you are thinking of booking this hotel - DONT!! You may have the booking in black and white and have a printed invoice, but it is not worth the paper it is written on as this hotel simply does not care about its customers.
