“Great Hotel - Good Food and Entertainment”
Reviewed 5 April 2013

Although the weather was bad in March we had a great time at the hotel. The variety and amount of food for breakfast and dinner was exceptional. In the evening the spacious lounge area was a great gathering place with first class entertainment which changed each evening. Very enjoyable place to visit.

Just returned from this hotel, had a pleasent stay. We were the youngest in the hotel as alot of guests were retired and staying there for months on end, hence the entertainment was only geared up for the elder generation. Saying that this is an excellent hotel, the rooms are cleaned daily and beds were always made.
I would definatly stay here again for the location.

Love the place, Been a few times now, as always perfect. Food & variety will please everyone + waiters, there for you.Location excellent to meander round the very close Paloma Park and view the wild life, beautiful landcapes. Selwo Marina park and Show next to Paloma shoud not be missed.Tivoli World for the children. Cable Cars up the mountain with all things to fulfill your Holiday. Hotel / Floors (7) The odd number rooms face the pool area and receive the sun early morning until 1300 hrs +. The even numbers have sunshine 1400 hrs onwards.A lottery what you might get,but can make a request. The beach lies across the very busy road that runs along the coast of the Sol.From here you walk along the beach/front as far as you possibly can to Torremolinos. There are Africans who try to sell their goods to you but not until you show the interest. The Local Restaurants will do their best to get you into their places upon passing at the evening times. The Hotel Offers Entertainment Nightly + animation in the Day. Great Holiday Destination for all,Love the place.

Room Tip: Even numbered room have sun 1400 hrs onwards. Odd numbered room have sun early hrs to 1300 hrs +.

This year saw us returning to this hotel for the second time. We did not mch know about it last year but it is the kind of place we now feel a strong attachment to. In particular it is very satisfing to see the certificate of excellence delivered to his hotel by tripadvisor for the year 2012. This proves beyond any doubt the worth of this establishment. We had a room on the second floor like last year but on the other side with view to the pool and the bil bil house. The rooms are very spacious, we like twin rooms the beds are nice and big. Lovely bathroom and a working fridge. There is a reasonable choice of english speaking tv channels.Staying on a B&B
basis the buffet on offer for breakfast is more than generous. A special word of thanks to the reception who organised our excursion to Granada and our taxi to bring us back to the ariport. On the day ofthe excursion we had an early morning call and we were able to get an early breakfast This hotel cannot be better situated right on the seafront not far away from the restaurants area, and at the back of it is a small supermarket where you can buy the paper of the day. As part of this review we woud also like to commend the excursion company BRAVO of Torremolinos with whom we did our excursion to Granada. In our eyes a very professional company with very modern and clean coaches and very knowledgable guides. At the back of this hotel is located the famous park La Paloma, a nice place to unwind. The service there is very good and our room was kept spotless.

Room Tip: hose a room fromthe second floor onwards if on the first floor on the pool side of it you will face...

It was our first time to stay in Benalmadena and we were lucky to miss the previous weeks rain, we thoroughly enjoyed the promenade walks Fuengirola in one direction and Torremolinos in the other.
Paloma Park near the hotel was very pleasant on the way up to Arroyo de la Miel old town, there you find an area that we particulary liked a small square found on the pedestrianised street Av Blas Infante leading up to the train station main street.
In the square you will find some small bars in a pretty sunspot, thanks those that gave us the directions in the forum.
Behind the Train Station you can get on a cable car (approx 14 euro) that takes you right up to the mountain top with magnificent views.
We have stopped in many 4 star hotels and could not fault this hotel, its not spectacular but spotlessly clean and excellent service by all of the staff.perhaps a little noisy being alongside a main road so i would suggest you give the front rooms a miss.
Would we return of course of why not !.

Room Tip: For those without transport catch the train from airport and then taxi to hotel

Love the hotel but my friend had a frightening experience with the shower door.
It was glass and when fully open it touches the side of the toilet cistern. On this occasion, when pushes open it hit the cistern and smashed into thousands of pieces. The was glass everywhere. He was covered in cuts. It was awful.
The staff were great but I can't believe it hasn't happened before.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Just back from a short break at the Las Arenas hotel, few years since we were there, but service, food and comfort still very good. Very pleasant sitting areas, both inside and out. We had room 620 on 6th floor with good view of mountains and sea, had sun all afternoon. Only blight was to anyone going out there soon, please be aware of Romanian pickpockets, they were standing at the back of the que for the local bus outside hotel, and push forward when bus comes, to pick pockets, I had my wallet picked from my trousers as I was getting on bus, I felt them and noticed wallet was gone when I got up steps on bus. Luckily I am quite fit and they did not get far before I caught them and got my wallet back. Reported them to police, but not much they could do as they had gone. Please enjoy your holidays, but be aware of these scum bags.
