“Great location great facilities”
Reviewed 25 August 2013

We traveled in Aug from Cork to Salou flying in Reus. Two adults and three children 7 years, 4 years and 5 months old baby. From the moment we arrived the staff in reception were very helpful. We stayed in an Oasis house which was small for five of us but we managed grand. Friends stayed in a Bahia and the living area was better layed out. The bed was very comfy in our house. The pools were excellent and my lot loved them. But you have to be up early as people put towels on the loungers early. The animation staff were brilliant the minute they found out the kids were English speaking they spoke to them in English (I was delighted with this as this has not been my experience on other sites near by). The only way the site fell down was the self service restaurant on a couple of occasions we got our food well before the kids and vice versa on two occasions the wait was 1hour. The food was alright reasonably priced. I must say the staff in both the bar /restaurant were exceptionally friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again with the family. The location five minutes from the beach and strip was great too.

May 30th - June 8th.
Booking was an easy, stress free experience.
We had 3 roomed Eden bungalow. I was surprised at how spacious it was & how easy it was to keep neat/tidy.
The site was spotless & beautifully kept. It was pretty quiet while we were there but that suited us!
Staff were lovely & helpful.
Definitely recommend La Siesta Camping for families.

Just returned from 4 nights/5 days in Salou, Spain on a hen weekend with 11 other girls. We stayed in two 6 person, fully equipped bungalows in Eden, La Siesta and LOVED it. Great site with 3 lovely pools with plenty of sun loungers, kids play park, tennis court, 5-a-side footy pitch and table tennis tables. Great bar/cafe with evening entertainment and an mini-market on site and 5* shower/laundry block just a short walk from the pool area. Fantastic location too just a couple of blocks from the beach and some great bars & places to eat. Pleasant and helpful stuff with visible night time security keeping the site safe.

Already planning a trip back with the family. Highly recommended!

my family and i stayed at camping la siesta in july for 10 days. The pitch we were on was a reasonable size and we were able to put out our safari room with no problem. The staff were very pleasent to us and the security staff would always say hello. The campsite was spotless clean and this is due to the fact that there were cleaners on site all day long. The showers/toilets and wash up areas were immaculate and many hours were spent by the pool. The minimarket on site was well stocked with both essentials and camping equipment. The take away was very handing if you like chicken €12.50 for 4 people. The beach is only 2 blocks away. we had such i nice time here that we stayed an extra 2 days, it would have been longer but we were booked on a ferry and had to leave. Each night there was entertainment till midnight and activities during the day....my only negative point to make is that getting to the campsite in my campervan some roads were very tight. Having said this i will be returning in 2013 and extra family members are coming in there campervans because of the time we had.

Travelled with Eurocamp and stayed in a new 2 bedroom chalet. Accommodation lovely and clean on arrival and air conditioning unit was wonderful. The pool complex on-site is brand new and nice but a little cramped on sun terraces and very little shade (no parasols). Evening entertainment was ok and drinks reasonably priced with good waiter service. Didn't try the restauarant as it was a strange self service concept that looked more motorway services than Spanish restaurant.
The thing we really loved about the site was it's location right in the middle of Salou, minutes from the beach and the lovely promenade, but still relatively quiet. The only negatives about the site were the reception staff who were unfriendly bordering on rude, the lack of a luggage room for the last day which left us all day with our cases awaiting a 1930 flight home, and the toilet room in the chalet which was tiny, with the window open was not private and with the window closed was smelly and claustrophobic.
We transferred to the site from Reus airport and having looked on travel forums chose a local taxi (white with blue stripe) rather than pre-booking. The queue for taxis was controlled by a lady with a clipboard who advised of the approx cost €30, all really efficient and only a 10 minute journey, cheap for a family of 4 as the bus is €6 per person.

We travel to Salou on a family holiday nearly every year. We have stayed in the centre of salou in a place called camping la siesta. As with all holidays you do get bitten by mosquitoes.
I travel with my husband and 3 children(two 12 year olds and a baby). We all got bitten apart from the baby. Im home from holidays nearly a month, my bites are cleared up. My daughter is still covered with bites. These are not mosquitoe bites, these are bed bug bites.
I will always return to Salou as I find it very family orientating with lots for children to do. I will return next year but not to camping la siesta.

Room Tip: If you decide to stay here book a bunglow if you are traveling with a large family.

We stayed for a week in the Bahia chalets, perfectly clean, everything new, good air conditioning. Towels changed mid week, could have done with a change of linen also. We travelled with 3 small children and we all had a great time.

Park was lovely, three good swimming pools with lots of slides. Unfortunately one was closed for 4 days for anti-slip painting but the children were entertained enough with the others. There was no evening entertainment (low season) but they seemed to be making preparations for some. Good supermarket on site.

Very good location - 5 min walk to beach, close to Reus airport. Very close to Port Aventura. Salou beach has loads to entertain kids, playgrounds, fountains.

Reception appeared to be poorly staffed at times, staff polite but not exactly friendly, keen to move people along. No luggage storage area. Get the feeling park has been recently refurbished. Overall much to recommend it.
