“Brilliant for families and adult children”
Reviewed 25 June 2014

spent 7 nights here at half board. check in was easy and we were lucky enough to get a room overlooking the pool. room was very clean with two large single beds pushed together nice bright bathroom, a safe tv, a/c and fridge. there was a beautiful balcony overlooking the pool and stage area. there was a waterfall close to our balcony that was noisy but it stopped every evening at 8pm and started at 10am each day

Food was excellent, one negitive point was that it was only warm not hot but for me it was minor issue there is a microwave if needed. everyday the main course changed daily and ranged from fish, chicken, pizza, salad etc you also can make your own icecream dessert. i would recommend half board.

entertainment was brilliant here for young and old, there was activities for juniors teens and aldults. i can only speak for adult activities which were bowls, ping pong, aqua arobics, stecting, yoga, riffle shooting, archer, football waterpolo and more all free the animation team are excellent.

DOWN POINTS- being a young couple the hotel would be quite after 11pm and there was not much happening in cap salou however it is only €2.15 to get the bus to salou.

i would stay here again for the food, room, and daily activites however i would change to a more livelier night life next time

Room Tip: ask for a room in the H block with an even number i.e H140

Our 3rd family holiday at a H10 resort and we are still amazed at how family focussed they are.

We stayed for the last 2 weeks in May having got a great deal through Thomson. We stayed half board given such a good price, however this meant we only had a hotel room that was a little cramped with 2 adults and 2 boys.

Our boys are 10 and 5, they made full use of the mini clubs by going twice a day as well as the evening disco. 'Daisy' is like a demigod to my youngest who following him/her around everywhere!! The animation team were excellent, entertaining the kids for hours each day. They gave out diplomas each night during the disco to kids who had taken part in their activities.

The hotel is very big, has a couple of large pools as well as a kids pool. There was also a couple of snack bars dotted around, together with a pub and an on-site supermarket. There is also an indoor pool, gym, sauna and steam room.

If you've no kids or can get them booked into the mini club, make use of the roof top sun beds as its really peaceful up there. There are also 2 jacuzzis, however the water is cold :-(

For half board we got breakfast and dinner, both always had plenty of choice for both adults and kids. For breakfast they even had 'British' sausages which tasted just like you get back home. Ace!
For the kids they had 7/8 different flavours of ice cream each night together with smarties, marshmallows, chocolate buttons etc to go with it. The kids loved it.

Our room was an adequate size, it came with a TV, fridge, safe, bathroom and a balcony. It did the job for us and was cleaned everyday by the maid.

The hotel is approx 2 miles away from Salou, a good 25 mins walk, longer if you've got kids in tow. We went several times and you find the usual; nice beach, bars, cafes, restaurants, McDonalds, Burger King, shops, supermarkets, lucky lucky men etc....

If you were to walk in the opposite direction you would come to La Pineda, again, another 30 mins walk. This is smaller than Salou but has a nicer beach. There is also a sizeable water park there.

There are a couple of bars less than 500m away, we found the Smugglers to be very friendly and serve nice food.

PortAventure is very close to Salou and the hotel, however given our children's ages we didn't visit.

Buses are plentiful in and around this part of Spain so you can easily get around. We went on the Bus Plana trip to Barcelona and the Nou Camp. This was a great day out and the kids loved the football ground. It would have been nicer to have more time in the centre of Barcelona, but you live and learn.

We had a great time here and surprisingly for a 2 week holiday, we weren't itching to get home.

We would definitely come back here.

We stayed here from the 15/06/14 to 22/06/14. A family of 6, grandson aged 4. We had an amazing time here, booked with Thomas Cook and this couldn't really have been any better.
Firstly we arrived early morning, no problem, store your luggage in a room in reception as book in is at 2 pm and use the facilities immediately , straight into the fantastic pool.
The pools are great, the one with the pirate ship was our favourite, my grandson loved the slides etc, so we used this every day, sometimes a bit tight finding room for 6 sun beds but we always got in somehow.
The whole pool and seating area was immaculate and clean, there's a bar and on site supermarket close by, other bars are close if you fancy a change.
The room was perfect, we had the pool side rooms and I was concerned about the noise at night, especially as there is a hotel opposite that you can sometimes hear, but when you shut the patio door the sound proofing was amazing, cut the noise almost right out, I took ear plugs just in case but only used them once, when you shut the door the air com cuts in, it was lovely and cool.
The cleaners came in several times and the towels were changed, the only thing that would have improved the room would have been a kettle.
On to the food, totally amazing quality and choice, this is where you can see it's a four star hotel, so much choice and all really tasty, we were half board and it was worth every penny.
The staff throughout we're great but the entertainment and kids club folk were brilliant , very friendly and funny, always organising little games and competitions throughout the day, a nice touch is a couple of times a day they dance around the pools to music , they really showed commitment and looked like they really did enjoy their work.
The evening entertainment was good,my grandson loved daisy the mascot and joined in with the kids disco and games in the evenings.
My only slight moan would be that the bar prices are high, it's far cheaper to buy cans in the supermarket, apart from the one on site there another by the bus stops round the corner, but if you keep walking a few hundred meters more there's a bigger cheaper supermarket around the corner, we only found this half way through the week.
I could go on forever but honestly this hotel is A1, we would defiantly go again.
Before I forget, the Dotto train into salou is cheap, you pay one price so it's worth staying on and doing the whole trip, the buses are also good, we brought a pass from the kiosk that's real value for money just swipe like an Oyster card .
One last thing, walk down the road about 10 minutes and there a fantastic sandy beach perfect for kids, clean and safe.have fun :)

Just back from a week at this hotel. Was looking for somehwere child friendly for a 2 yr old. Would highly recommend the place. 20 mins from Reus airport by bus (7 euro per person) or 28 euro by taxi. Bus stops 2 min walk from hotel. Stayed in appt for more space, towels changed daily.Hotel has playground with slides, playhouses and large sand pit.Visitors have to be buzzed in. Indoors there is a ball bit and play house. There are 3 pools, 1 with slides (although the water was pretty cold),all supervised by lifeguards. The onsite supermarket has nappies, toiletries, loads of toys such as balls,buckets/spades,arm bands/swing rings etc.It doesn't stock formula or baby food. There is an animation team who organise games for adults and kids every day, good for those who get bored sitting around the pool (darts, shooting, football etc).My daughter loved the mini disco every evening. Went half board and was delighted with the buffet breakfast & dinner.Plenty of choice & great for kids.Staff are very friendly and hotel is clean & spacious.Would go back.

Just returned from the H10 and have to say it was a beautiful hotel very clean and well maintained inside and out
There was 2 pools with life guards around them all day who were very friendly
There was entertainment through out the day around the pool the team came round and asked everyone to take part but didn't put pressure on u if u didn't want to do anything they were a fab team
The roof top jacuzzi is a must as the sun is there all day and never too packed u need to take ur room key up to swipe to get in which is good as kids can't get in without the parents
My room was lovely we stayed in a 1 bed apart SC the kitchen done the job with microwave kettle and 2 rings on cooker and lots of utensils and the bathroom was huge as was the balcony.
U get the bus outside the hotel into salou portaventura cambrils and la Pineda..just a wee tip as u walk up to the bus stop and past the supermarket there's a wee red box that sells bus cards for €15.50 for 10 journeys u can top these up when the 10 journeys r up or bring the finished card bk and u get €3.50 bk if u pay for the bus with cash u pay almost €3 a time so it's well worth it and if ur there as a family u don't need to buy 1 each u can use the same card for all of u
The small beaches r lovely in cap salou and the best place we ate was the smugglers cove and across the road from it the do the best cocktails....
Defo go to portaventura we booked the tickets with attraction tickets b 4 we went for £66 adult and £54 child this was for 2 days in the theme park and a day in the costa carribe water park....brilliant parks...been to Disney paris 2 times and this place was defo better..
Do not hesitate to book the H10 il defo b bk!!!!!!!

Our second family holiday to the H10, and yet again cannot fault anything. We opted for an apartment this year instead of a room, but remained half board. Apartment was spacious and had everything that was needed and more. The only downside to our room, was the sun never reached the balcony! But I can't blame the hotel for the position of the sun! Animation team again were fantastic! Both with adults and children! Evening entertainment was good and varied, kids again lived the pool and pirate ship. Fantastic location, fantastic hotel and the staff could not be more helpful. We will be returning in 2015!

Room Tip: Not 255 as no sun! Any pool view room would be good or for a bit quieter in an evening a non pool vi...

Just got back from a fortnights holiday at the H10 Meditteranean Village complex .Staff are welcoming and friendly .Thomas Cook reps Lisa and Ross are well informed on everything to do in Salou and Barcelona , H10 Animation team led by Jo jo Roberto , Vincent and the girls will keep the kids and adults occupied with all sorts of games , a good level of family entertainment every evening and relaxation is the key , no towels on sunbeds until 10.00 am , excellent restaurant on site as well as two bars that serve snacks , if you go self catering as we did a taxi into resort costs 20 euro return , there were 4 adults in our party so was the cheapest option for us , the bus stop and touristico train stop at the bottom of the Hotel driveway with a regular service every 20 minutes , Port Aventura theme park is easily reached by touristico bus for 3 euro .Lots of nice places to eat nearby or in Salou centre and La Pineda is 5 minutes away for Aquapolis with Dolphin show

Room Tip: Pool view request when booking
