Hotel is nice enough for its 3 stars, room is functional, although could have done with a little more attention to detail I wrote my name in the dust on the suitcase stand bottom shelf!
Bathroom is very modern shame rest of room is not to the same standard.
Restaurant staff were lovely, friendly and chatty, food was of a good standard too.
Only downfall was the time we went 2/11/13 the hotel was packed full of oap's so we referenced our break to a saga holiday, and although I respect my elders and I'm middle aged myself, most of them we're very rude pushing past us, maybe the English are more polite than the Spanish and French guests that we're staying.
We'd stay at the Playa Park Hotel again if we went back to Salou for a third time, but I was shattered when we got back due to lack of sleep from other guests alarms going off, and doors banging and inconsiderate guests shouting about.

Just back from a week at this hotel. We stayed half board.Got upgraded to a sea view on arrival which was a good start. The restaurant was opened for my wife and i and one other group whom had just arrived at approx 10pm,this was appreciated. The food overall was not that great but that is maybe just our taste. There was always something you could eat.So dont want to make a big deal of this. The staff were all very friendly and fluent in English. The rooms are a bit tired looking but are clean and new towels are provided every day.The bedding was changed at least 3 times during our stay which was very good. The balconies are a good size and are private which is good. All in all this is a really good 3 star hotel and i would not have any problems in recommending it to all.

we have just returned from a 4 day trip to solou and stayed in the playa park hotel . the sevice was very good from the reception to the dinning area the food was all very nice and plenty to choose from. The rooms are basic and very clean we was on the 5th floor the only thing was a lot of coach partys was there wene we was and thay was up eary to go out for the day and woke us up as thay pass down the hall way mind u thay were French , apart from that we had a very rezaxing brake the only thing I thought was a rip off was if you have hired a car u would have to pay 12 euros a nite to park your car in the hotel car park other from that was a very good hotel with good food and walking distance to the beach and shops .entertainment well if you like playing bingo in French then u would be ok but we put that down to the hotel having many French guest wene we was there .I would give the hotel a 8 out of 10 for cleaness and a 5 out of 10 for entertainment over all 7 out of 10 I would stay at this hotel again .....

We just returned from a four days stay at this hotel. The service and politeness of all staff is outstanding, We were very pleased with our rooms with sea view, and the food provided in our half board stay was excellent, it was suitable for picky eaters as well as for the more adventurous. The bathrooms were nice and new, we were told they have been recently refurbished. It is excellent for families with children of all ages, our two teenagers enjoyed the facilities thoroughly. The entertainment for children is a little late, however you have to consider the different spanish culture, where children don't go to bed as early as in Britain. Excellent value for money, we will definetely go back.

Room Tip: Just remember we stayed here at the end of high season, it can be very loud if you stay in rooms fac...

Just returned from 5 days at the Playa Park.
We were welcomed by very pleasant staff at reception and were surprised when they sent us down to the restaurant as dinner had finished but the staff laid out soup, rolls and salad.
The room was really nice and spotless. The bathroom had been recently refurbished, it was very modern with a huge a walk in shower. We paid extra for a sea view and it was well worth it beautiful views.
There was entertainment every evening starting with bingo then a quiz or a musician with dancing. We found the drinks in the bar very reasonable compared to other hotels we have stayed in.
We found the food let the hotel down, although there was plenty of choice we found it dry and of poor quality.
Most of the staff were very friendly although they could be inconsistent.
The hotel is close to local amenities but at the top of a hill so not so good for people with walking difficulties.

Room Tip: Pay extra for a sea view

The lobby and entrance looks lovely and there are plenty of facilities and places to sit in and around the lobby area. The front reception staff were a little ignorant but we didn't need them for allot so didn't really bother us.
It was advertised as great for family's but the childrens disco was from 9.45 - 9.55 at night then nothing else for the baby at all, just a singer who didn't stop until past 12, he sounded as loud in the room as out!. The pool was also freezing to the point where my daughters lips turned blue, even though it 28 degrees outside. This hotel is on quite a large hill so we did get quite allot of excercise, we had to go to the beach in the day and we to another hotel in the evenings that was more suited to children.
The maids who cleaned the room were excellent and couldn't do enough for us and added nice touch's to the room like extra pillows etc.
The food was excellent and they tried to vary it as much as possible and the staff in the restaraunt were out of this world, really making a fuss of the baby and getting us a great seat every evening.
If it wasn't for the pool, location and lack of entertainment I would give this full marks but we were very tired at the end of most days as we had to go elsewhere to entertain the baby.

Room Tip: The pool rooms are very loud until gone 12am
